POPLAR VILLAGE, A 55+, SECTION 8 HOUSING COMMUNITY, STILL HAS NOT BEEN TOUCHED BY A SNOW PLOW - EVEN AFTER 36 HOURS. THERE ARE HANDICAPPED PEOPLE LIVING THERE THAT CANNOT GET OUT OF THEIR APARTMENTS!!
AN AMBULANCE COULD NOT EVEN GET THROUGH.SOMEONE NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING FOR THESE PEOPLE

This is a local example of climate change. There is more moisture in the air because the climate is warmer and there is less ice over the Great Lakes. Less ice means more moisture.

Get used to it!

As a newcomer to the area, I am appalled at the lack of service in Ocean Grove/Neptune. Considering the highest property tax rates in the area, we have not seen a plow in two days, and have been stranded, unable to go to work or the supermarket. The mayor's announcement on the city website is an embarrassment, blaming everyone but her own incompetent municipal government. To the above post regarding "climate change" as the cause for no snow plows, I am sorry to say that the above comment is the most inane and ridiculous comment I"ve seen posted on a local forum, and detracts away from the incompetency of the city-not to mention the comment represents bad, high school science. Get a plow in Ocean Grove.

I didn't blame climate change for the lack of plowing. I blamed it for the snow!

All cities all counties all towns are having the same problem. Amazing how people who get entitlements and many "cop out" make it sound like it's some sort of prejudice. Get a job, take care of your kids, pay your potion of rent, keep the house clean etc ect.
