I had a man knock on my door (I live in the country) holding a box with a Lysol product in it. The strange thing is that every time he rang the door bell, he would turn his back to the door. I was home with my kids so I opened the window on the porch to talk to him. My dog kept barking and growling so it was kinda hard to hear and understand what he was saying. Something about giving me the free Lysol product and making an appointment to have someone come and talk to me about cleaning products and they would clean my floors for free. I told him I was not interested. He tried to give me a business card, but I didn't want to open the door! I now wish I would have told him to put it on the porch so I could get it later and call them up to complain! He was a young (20's), tall guy with blond hair wearing dress clothes with the shirt half tucked in. He was overly nice. I just find this whole thing a little strange. I called the police to report it and the women on the phone told me that it was a good thing that I opened the window and not the door. She said he could have sprayed that Lysol in my face. I will be calling the clerks office tomorrow to see if they had gotten a permit to solicit in my area. If not....then I will continue to worry. Just wondering if anyone has had this happen to them. Just want to know if it was legit or not. Thanks!!!
