Several things come to mind after reading the article. First, the police dept. had poor accounting practices that allowed this theft. Second, the thief was unwise in her handling of the purloined cash. The money may have been marked or at least recorded while she was under surveillance.
My father used to say that all criminals are stupid. Eventually they get caught as they believe they are smarter than everybody else. |
