This woman should not have been driving either way. What if she had hit and killed someone when she drove up on the sidewalk? Would her lawyers have argued that it was her diabetes that killed someone and not her?

I believe the point of the story was that she should NOT have been on the wall of shame.
The program is silly anyway, what message is it really sending?
There is a HUGE difference btw being intoxicated and having a disease such as diabetes. The police should know or learn how to distinguish the difference between someone who is sick and someone who is intoxicated. If her blood alcohol content was 0 then the cops wrongly arrested her and they should have to pay along with Newsday

The Americans with Disabilities Act strictly prohibits discrimination of someone who has a disability.....If everyone was taken off the road for a disability......nobody would be driving at all......Only an idiot would make this statement
