<quoted text>Take an earlier train, If you travel west from LI to NYC in the am. You know that you need to leave early to beat the traffic or you will be late. If you take a 7am train to the city and it gets you there late take the 645 train. As far as cost and such people destroy these brand new trains and that is what cost. Lawsuits from gap injuries to ripped clothing. Here is a good one the flood that halted the subway during that heavy rain. Some of cause was AMnew york papers stuck in all the subway drains from slobs throwing garbage on the tracks. Bottom line is if you look at the root of any of the issues brought up it comes down to the people that use the system. Some is the system, that the new president seems to be looking to address. Just remeber when you see someone putting there feet on the seats, ripping the seats throwing garbage on the floor We all pay for that.
There's only 4 trains a day where I live (2 in, 2 out). This, despite the fact that the population has mushroomed from a few thousand to a hundred thousand in about 15 years. So what train do you suggest I take? Is it so much to ask that the LIRR provide a minimum of service?

I've been posting over and over. It never happened, it couldn't happen.

Those opposed to the 3rd track on the mainline are using this for their own political gain.

As someone who works in transportation (not for MTA/LIRR), I have to agree that the likelihood of a passing train sending a clip flying over a fence is zero to zilch. Floral Park needs to give it up, the 3rd track is critical to NY's infrastructure and is happening despite their attempts at scare tactics.

You ever try hoping that fence? It's a good 15-20 feet high. I highly doubt someone threw a 6+pound piece of metal over. The field is many acres wide, and the tracks are a good 20 feet from the field. RIP FPBS/Bellerose T as a spot that goes down in history.

Don't blame the LIRR for your kids mischief. Teach them to respect other people's property. But I think it's too late because they have already learned their bad behavior from you.

Yeah no person could throw something over a 20' fence it has to be the train picking it up with it's hands and throwing it. It can't be a person. Hey maybe it's from the Airtrain...The sky is falling.

I was on the residents side when I heard that the LIRR was going to take peoples homes away even though it would have benefited me as a commuter. Now since they prefabricated this hoax they lost my support. This story smells like the noose stories.

It has been proven that kids were the cause of the debris being thrown but you wont read this in Newsday.
