I don't know how you don't have Mateo's on your list. The place is usually packed. On special events there are 3 or 4 seatings starting at 5pm and it's always full. There is a huge takeout due to the lack of people getting seating. The reason for all of this is due to the fact that the food is OUTSTANDINTG!!! Try the Snapper Luciano (cherry peppers are optional). It is super duper fantastic.

Try Christiano's in Syosset (right next to LIRR).
It is the place that Billy Joel based the song
"scenes from an Italian Restaurant" :

A bottle of white, a bottle of red
Perhaps a bottle of rose instead
We'll get a table near the street
In our old familiar place
You and I,face to face

A bottle of red, a bottle of white
It all depends upon your appetite
I'll meet you any time you want
In our Italian Restaurant.

Where you been all my life? My parole officer says I gotta learn to be more "naborly". Just breakin' into homes doesn't mean you get invited back.

Why are SO many Italian men who are older than 40 so obesely overweight? and why do they all walk with somekind of a limp too?
the limp is the result of chronic alcoholism. The drinking is due in large part to the Italian women who are hairy like apes.
