You knew she was going to sue.
Obviously her medical condition is not under control. And obviously the police were incorrect to handle her case as if she was DUI.
But just out of curiousity - what would've happened if she crashed into another car (or cars) and killed somebody else?

Well, it was only a matter of time before they smeared some poor innocent with this obnoxious "wall of shame." What she did was brainless, but not illegal. The woman was portrayed as a drunk when she was not, and now her reputation has been damaged. This is inexcusable. Sorry doesn't cut it. I hope she wins a boatload of money with this lawsuit.

This woman's lawyers now claim there is little Nassau County can do to restore her good name?
With whom?
I didn't think anything of it until she decided to sue.
I actually did symapthize with her medical condition - until she decided to sue. Not anymore.

agreed, she should be thankful that she was stopped before she killed herself or someone else. A mistake was made, she was accused of being drunk, a another mistake was made - she did not take care of a medical condition and endangered the lives of everyone on the roads (and sidewalks). She should make her health a priority and focus on that, not on who to sue.

I agree that her health issues should be her priority rather than a lawsuit but I think the only way that Nassau County or Newsday or anyone will listen to the stupidity of this "Wall of Shame" is by litigation. I haven't seen any statistics showing a decrease in drunk driving just because of this idiotic idea about posting pictures of people who got caught. Now Newsday posts other mugshots as well. I think that this is despicable. We live in a country where one is allegedly innocent until proven guilty. However, an innocent person's picture in the "Wall of Shame" or "local mugshots" could ruin their reputation as well as cost them their livelihood. Just putting a disclaimer that a person is innocent until proven guilty is not enough. The pictures should not be there in the first place. Sometimes, the police or their breath tests are mistaken. Why should just one person be put through hell because of a mistake? So maybe if this lady sues, the county and Newdsay will wise up and cut out the "Wall of Shame" and stop with the mugshots. So Newsday, how about reporting on real news?

Obviously none of you people are Diabetics....no matter how well you take care of your diabetes , this still could happen and it is shear idiocy to blame someone for something they didnt ask for.....nobody wants to be a diabetic and shouldnt be blamed for something because of a disability....do you have any idea how many people wouldnt be driving at all if we started not giving drivers licenses because someone has a medical condition? Why dont we just take em away for high blood pressure or maybe people using cold medicines? What a bunch of idiots
