Uni-mart LLC is sending threatening letters to buyers who have filed law suit against the company. Their division Green Valley North Americas, is also ripping off dealers on rebate money that they deserve from vendors. GVNA is headed by Ms. Melissa Anderson. Also, the gasoline department is headed by Ms. Patti Turiano who has helped Uni-Mart LLC to over charge innocent dealers. PNC Bank has also supported Uni-Mart LLC in this fraud transaction. Several dealers including myself are at the stage that we are going to be out of this business pretty soon due to financial losses.

I feel sorry for the buyers of uni mart stores. some stores were losing money before they were even bought, and that information was not disclosed to the buyers. We were given monthly budget reports and my store was always in the red month after month. when the store was purchased I tried to explain to them that the store was losing money before they bought it. they showed me #s that they were told were from the last 3 yrs NOT they were from like 5 or 6 years ago. anyone can change dates. they were lied to. Univille knew what they were doing from jump, they knew these people would loose their shoes and then the could resell to some other unsuspecting fool.

This should not surprise many people. The act of "fraud" is quite common when selling a business. Often outdated financial data is provided to bolster a failing business model. As an individual who lost a great deal of money in a similar scheme with General Nutrition Center (GNC). Selling a business, not a product. My recomendation after many years would be to form an association, contact an attorney as a group and challenge them in a class action suit. As an individual you wiil have little chance. Good Luck!

Uni-Mart's strategy was to sale businesses at almost twice or thrice price than what it was worth. Over charge innocent buyers on gasoline cost. Over charge real estate rent and taxes and send threatening letters so that dealers would get scared and disappointed and finally give up due to financial losses. Finally, take the store back and resale to other innocent buyers. Unfortunately, their plan was unfolded, not only by the dealers after running businesses for a few months, but also by their ex upset employees. Although, a law-suit was filed and got settled out of court by uni-mart because they knew that they were guilty, their strategy now is to over charge remaining dealers (besides the ones who closed and lost businesses already due to financial losses)on gas cost, they have already started manifesting that. They are also not going to help any dealer with maintenance problems, so that dealers would suffer and lose business. Nobody wants to buy uni-mart business due to bad reputation and bad financials. Every bank denied financing and or refinancing. I don't think dealers could afford it any more therefore this must be stopped now!
