LOL, how many of the state's witnesses have been polygraphed?

Just think how much grief the state could save the taxpayers by making a 5 year statute of limitations on such he said/she said claims.

I don't agree at all. Why should the alleged victims take polys, yet Mr. Sandusky doesn't have to?

This mindset is yet another example of why so many sex crimes are not reported. In sex crimes the victims, and their families, are put through hell and have no rights at all. The trauma and humiliation of testifying at this trial is yet another horror that sexual abuse victims have to endure in order to get justice for themselves, and to try to prevent these crimes to happen to others.

If what the Prosecution is reporting is true, they have overwhelming evidence against Sandusky, including eye witnesses. I hope this man goes to prison for the rest of his life if he is indeed guilty.

And if Penn State was covering for him and allowing boys to continue to be molested after becoming aware of what was going on, I hope anyone involved loses their jobs and are charged with crimes as well.

Mr. Sandusky not only has a right to remain silent during the entire trial, the state bears the burden of proof in order to obtain a criminal conviction. The least the state could do to protect itself is polygraph witnesses and police who will testify in such a case in order to ensure that no false statments or coaching of witnesses has occured.

I agree that Mr. Sandusky has the right to remain silent. I also agree that the burden of proof falls upon the state.

My point is, that the victims and witnesses also have the right not to be polygraphed. In their shoes, "I" would want to take a poly so there would be no doubt that what I am testifying to and what I reported to the police during the investigation is true.

I'm not real fond of many of the witnesses myself, considering they were made aware of the alleged abuse, yet did not report it to the proper authorities when it happened. Especially Mr. McQueary whom testified that he saw Mr. Sandusky molesting a boy around 10 to 12 years of age, even walked in and looked them in the eyes, yet left the child with Sandusky. Instead of phoning the police right then and there, he phones his father.

What kind of crap is that?

Persons who fail to report crimes until the evidence is long gone are guilty of evidence tampering and essentially aiding and abetting a criminal actor. Therefore, when witneses to crimes make these allegations out of thin air decades after they witnessed an alleged criminal act, with no DNA evidence, no other physical evidence, no video tapped confession or video of the alleged criminal act, they become criminals by acting to obfuscate the evidence and the acts.

I have to disagree regarding pulling some of these recent allegations out of thin air, considering a couple of them were reported in the past. But I do agree that those that covered up or tampered with the investigations and/or evidence committed crimes and should also be charged and tried for them.

Due to the fact that those people did not report it to the proper authorities, and no in depth investigations were conducted, any physical evidence that may have been collected is no longer available.

I think Sandusky's own words during his interviews are going to come back and bit him on the azz though. He's pretty much admitted to improper behavior that includes the nude showering and "wrestling, tickling, blowing on stomachs, etc."

IMO he is guilty of molesting these boys. I hope that he spends the rest of his life in prison where he will no longer have the opportunity to hurt another child.

Yes they are alleged victims. Jerry Sandusky well
if he did do this great. I know people who where falsely accused of this with their dauhgters in another state. So be it, then a new DA took over and investigated the complaits and 90% where found not guilty and the mothers told the daughters to say they where abused, every mother who did that ended up in jail when found guilty. It happened to be abuse when the parents where going through a divorce. Yes, I believe polygraphs should be give n to alleged victims before something gets to a magnitude of this. If I say these victims where heroes and they want to keep their name out of courts then I would believe they also have something to hide. Alledged victims sometimes read stories about how victims act and feel like and with enough readig they can relate to another story. If the didn't polygraph the alledged victims befoer , then wait to after trial. Even though I believe something happened, I believe not that much with the sandusky case. Sure isn't any D&A evedence, so polygraph the alledged victims first. If they lie then try them, in a cort of law. Also abuse counselors can brain wash people to think they are victims and they aren't. They should be given polygraphs also, the Da should and and anyone involve to prevent prosecutorial misconduct. It's to easy to tell a victim to cry on stand. My name is geo and I approve of this message.

Simply Sue have you ever been falsey accused of a crime and you know your innocent? I have and I was found inoccent. I had the right to use deadly force and didn't and this was woman who tried to hit me with a baseball bat,ran down the street busted my windows out of my truck. Even when I didn't get violent with her ,the DA still had to accuse me.
The so called victim admitted she hit me and smashed window in the truck on the police report. I got charged, she was married to 3 G.I's and was doing welfare fraud. I didn't report her till after I was found not guilty. Reason is that I would of been a snitch, afterwards I was a law abiding citizen and I had a responibilty to report her. She was reported to Army authoriteis for getting money from all husbands.Victims have rights but they seem to foreget their responsibilities. That was in 1983 in another state

The McMartin preschool trial was a day care sexual abuse case of the 1980s. Members of the McMartin family, who operated a preschool in California, were charged with numerous acts of sexual abuse of children in their care. Accusations were made in 1983. Arrests and the pretrial investigation ran from 1984 to 1987, and the trial ran from 1987 to 1990. After six years of criminal trials, no convictions were obtained, and all charges were dropped in 1990. When the trial ended in 1990 it had been the longest and most expensive criminal trial in American history.[1] The case was part of day care sex abuse hysteria, a moral panic over satanic ritual abuse in the 1980s and early 1990s.

'BUGS BUNNY' Sandusky will not see the light of freedom. His legal team is strategizing to get him off with all sorts of tactics. Put him on the stand and get it over with. Hopefully the jury will determines right there in the courtroom and get this hightmare over with. It's been out there too long and just a matter of how many years Bug's gets.
The jury needs to see the polygraph results of the witnesses and their counselors. It's quite possible these people have been coached into believing they were sexually assaulted, happens all the time.

If this guy was just a person off the street all you crackheads would be screaming to hang him. What a bunch of jock sniffing closet queens. There was a case ten years ago where a person filed a police report against him and nothing happened. It seems you folks are willing to allow priest and jock related perverts to bugger your kids but not common street perverts? Thats discrimination!

The accused has a right to remain mute, the state bears the burden of proof...so far all the proof is just a bunch of people supposedly recollecting things that might have maybe occured a long time ago, if even in their minds. The witnesses taking polygraphs would help clear things up for the state.

Matt Sandusky, an adopted son of Jerry Sandusky, said through his attorney Thursday that he was also a victim of the former coach's sexual abuse, adding that he had been prepared to testify for the prosecution.
"At Matt's request, we immediately arranged a meeting between him and the prosecutors and investigators," attorneys Andrew Shubin and Justine Andronici said in a statement. "This has been an extremely painful experience for Matt and he has asked us to convey his request that the media respect his privacy."

I hope the SOB goes to prison for the rest of his life. He used his position and authority to rape underprivileged young boys. Now one of sons has reported that he too was molested by Sandusky! Of course the jury is not aware of this newest allegation.
