Postal Service cuts costs but at a high price
Outsourcing labor or hiring contractors is a practice that is becoming increasingly popular, but several local United States Postal Service employees are speaking out against the practice, nervously and quietly.

The United States Post Office has itís historical foundlings in the US Constitution. It is a vital service to the people, in times of peril it is the only secure hard copy form of communication. The sanctity of the mail is very important.
In allowing the government to gut the USPS without a Constitutional Amendment is illegal. Many people rely on their mail delivery to conduct business across the nation.
I have provided the text of the Constitution, that applies to the USPS below.
Article 1, Section 8 - Powers of Congress
The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to
pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United
States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;
To borrow money on the credit of the United States;
To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the
To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of
Bankruptcies throughout the United States;
To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of

Many companies rely on the Post Office to deliver ad mail, periodicals, magazine subscriptions, parcels and other products to keep their business going. Chances are the company you work for advertises using the mail. Creating more business for you, and keeping you employed, unless your already retired, or independently wealthy.
The economy is dependent on productivity in all businesses, If you destroy one, the ripple effects go through the entire economy.
And don't forget, many Veterans work for the Post Office, and it has it's foundations in the US Constitution Article 1, Section 8.
If the people allow privatization without a Constitutional Amendment to revoke it's charter, they can nullify any part of the Constitution. Even the parts most people like, such as the 1st and 2nd Amendments !
