Ok...and what is that class doing? Contributing to a winning program as well..what's the difference??

The difference is that there is a loss of prestige on the part of one group of 40 somethings who have less to brag about to their friends..that's it.

My son once played for Blaze and he hated so bad that he is not at all interested in anything that has to do with football but dont get me wrong he watches football with his father everytime there is a game on but if it is not backyard football he doesnt want anything to do with it
I doubt that has to do with the fact he played for the Blaze or Little Chiefs either one.

I know it is splitting hairs, but isn't it the juniors? Everyone is free to voice their opinion that's why a forum like this is so great but do we really have to be haters? Agree to disagree and if you think someone is nuts or way off base explain yourself, you might just change someone's mind.

who won the second teamers "scrimage" yesterday between the little chiefs and maysville?

is that how the little chiefs would get playing time for all their kids if bellefontaine went back to one team.
"Hey, all the boys that don't get to play in the real game, please show up on saturday afternoon, we'll find another group of bench warmers for you to play"
talk about putting a divion in your kids & program !

14-14 and it was a miserable day. Good for the starters to have to stand and watch. Maybe it gave them a better appreciation of the effort the other boys put in. Interesting that Marysville played a scrimmage the day before a real game. Guess they don't expect to sub any of those kids in today.

Wouldn't that be the current group of JUNIORS and SOPHMORES? My son played for Blaze the very first year and they won the CBC in eighth grade and the sophmore class won the CBC champs in 7th grade. I have the pictures from the newspaper to prove it!

You are correct! The current class of Juniors were the first to win it the same year as the current class of Sophmores.

We went up against Marysville and both teams lost. JV- 18-0 Varsity 42-12 (i think) I could be wrong on the varsity. I think we have a play-off game yet. Indian Lake and Marysville are both undefeated and they play each other in the playoffs so that would be a good game.

I assume V Blaze is done (record), and I know JV Blaze is done because Urbana forfeited for this Sunday.(CE coach called last night)It was a good year & the boys worked hard. Time to move on to wrestling.

hey, i'm a little late on this topic, sorry. i read the comments about the j.v. blaze team last week and didn't respond. i'm sorry now i didn't. did you see the super bowl yesterday between blaze j.v. and marysville? yes, i said super bowl! my 9 year old grandson loves football and he's been to every practice. he even chose dedication to his team over his 5 yr. old cousin's b =day. yesterday in the super bowl he didn't play the first half. he was put in the 2nd half for a total of 2 minutes by that time marysville was leading by 18-once again, i ask did anybody see the super bowl yesterday?

Okay! I had to ask hubby what you drove but now I know who you are! lol! How did you know who I was? I know...duh~! Everyone knows who I am on here. Thanks for the heads up on the game. Yes, we move on to wrestling. My least favorite sport. I was hoping for basketball but he likes wrestling. Oh well....it's about the kids and not the parents.......right? lol!

Thanks for giving the hint BH. Hilarious name btw. CE I knew you from the soccer post.

Cindy sorry your Grandson didn't get to play very much. My older son was that kid too. He actually got cut and played at Riverside so he could experience the game. On a lighter note, if that were the Super Bowl, some would get raises and others would get fired. Ok, now let the bad judgements roll - it was a joke people. Lighten up!

Anyone who lets their little boy play football is not educated to the long term affects this does to a boy's body. The ligaments are not mature, and the wear and tear this game puts on them, only weakens them and makes them old men before their time.
Let alone the hits to their head, creating early onset dementia problems for them in mid life. Getting them involved in JV football only wears their bodies out early!
