Obama has drawn a line in the sand about ten times in the last few weeks and then walked backwards. I would not call that a clock cleaning.

You, just like Owebama. may have spiked the ball before the goal line was crossed. The bill has not yet passed in the House, only the Senate. The initial from Republicans in the House is that they won't buy into the bill passed by the Senate.

They should NOT buy into any bill that does not do away with the increased spending the Owebama administration wants to have. They should NOT buy into a bill that does not include major spending cuts. When Owebama spiked the ball yesterday, he indicated the increased taxes he won in this initial bill will have to be increased if spending cuts are on the block. He will NOT give up any spending until he has spent every dime your kids and mine will earn in their lifetimes. That also includes your grandchildren.

Owebama wants an increase in the debt ceiling, again so he has more to spend and, so he can dig our graves deeper. You idiots that relected this spendthrift fool should be deported to a country that understands your penchant for deficit spending.

Amen....when I read this, the very first thing that I thought of was, where are the cuts in spending?!

Do you not undertand how the debt ceiling works? It's called paying for what we've already spent. Sorry Jas, you don't have the numbers to obstruct anymore, the House GOP Folds on this one.

The GOP has no choice. It's kind of fun watching the chaos in Washington DC.

Perhaps it is you who don't understand how the debt ceiling works. The last time we had a debt ceiling increase was to permit the US to pay its debts without defaulting on our debt. Owebama has now spent us up to that limit, without getting a budget passed as required by law and now, he wants to have the ceiling raised so he can continue to spend because he doesn't have the balls to cut some of the give-away programs. If the ceiling isn't lifted, he will be forced to cut something because he won't have the ability to borrow any more money to piss away. You need to study up on this topic before you overspeak your bounds, again. Besides, who gave you permission to play with the adults ?

I know what I'm talking about you ignorant old slug .Federal law requires Congress to authorize the government to borrow any money that is needed to pay for the programs that Congress has passed.

The administration keeps selling the Senate on the urgency to pass legislation under an artificial deadline and, they keep caving on the hard-sell. If the House caves, we're sunk. The only bargaining chip the conservatives will have is preventing a raise in the debt ceiling. They will probably cave on that, also. Weakest bunch of bastards I've ever seen in Congress. Pitiful. And, they just got a raise. Go figure.

Well, I've never seen a couple folks so happy about a bill that really does nothing for the country. This wonderful tax increase will net something like 60-80 Billion a year. With trillion dollar deficits - wow what a biggie. That's what the leadership under Obama has reverted to. The debt continues to rise and if you listen to the Democrats on the floor tonight they are beginning to tip their hand as this being only the 1st step. Rep Neal, Democrat of Mass said tax revenue is right around 15% of GDP and should be 19-21%. Know who they are coming after now? Us - pure and simple. Of course "us" isn't the folks who don't pay taxes now - they couldn't buy their votes if they did that. Us will be the productive citizens of this country, not the rich or affluenct. It will be anyone they can point their fingers to and say they make to much money and the government should take more of it. Of course, the President and the Dems will sell it as "you can have it all and the rich will pay for it!" and the economically ignorant folks will lap it up. Well, crow your little heart out but the spending is still out of control and at some point the piper has to be paid...and to all you generational thieves - enjoy your night, call it a victory if you will....but if you do, you prove the point that ignorance is bliss and some of you are the blissful people we know.

Yep. He's the hero of the underdogs who voted for him from the items you listed, but he has done absolutely NOTHING to fix the problem. Keep on spending, Obama.

Hey, Sandie. Remember that the rich will always be rich whether you like it or not, just like there will always be guns. I'm not rich. Nowhere near it. Not even close. But... I know what happens when the rich are taxed to death. They will still be rich, but they will pass the extra burden onto us. Think about that when you go to the store. By the way. Minimum age went up today. Prices will rise just because of that alone. Let's combine that with your new gloating. Bend over at the stores as you take in the azz. Gloat on.

I see a repeat of the 2010 elections coming. Good thing, too. Many of our new spineless Republicans went bye bye then. We can do it again.

The underdogs? do you mean the majority? I know how you all still think you won the election but you didn't.

Nobody wants to make the rich poor, just to pay their fair share. What poor ignorant losers you all are.

But it was alright if 98% of Americans got their taxes raised to save the rich a little cash, right?

Some of your biggest corporations don';t pay a red cent in taxes yet get our tax dollars through subsidies. If you want to lower the budget. cut some of the waste in defense, not reduce it on the backs of the most vulnerable citizens.

You call JAS an ignorant old slug who doesn't know how things work? Really? A business owner who knows how the real world works while you sit back and quote your talking points from Liberal websites and blogs. And HE doesn't know how thing work? Give me a break.

Time for a few of your worthless insults now. Have at it.

I will give you one thing, though. The GOP may fold on this one, but we will see them at the next election. This is the worst group of Republicans we have had in a very long time. They are Republican lites. In other words - Democrats. Many will go away after the next election.
