Burn your house down, then terraform the whole yard.

Do they look like a sweat bee? My boyfriend and I were in the New River Gorge area of West Virginia this weekend and got attacked. My boyfriends legs are still itching like crazy!

That is because you are way too sweet, Toots. Get some of hubby's blandness to wear off on you. Try soaking the bug bitten spots with household ammonia. That may help neutralize the acid of the sting.

Why have the Topix editors allowed this thread to fall off the "Highlights" list??? Some things become sacred.

I want to know why the Topix editors are letting this prime item slip off the Topix Spotlight lately. Keep it up there.

That's a chigger
Sorry, it's not a chigger. These bugs fly and chiggers don't fly. The bites are worse after 2 days. I was bit on Sunday, today is Tuesday and I have about a dozen dime-sized raised spots. They are red and they itch. When you press on the spot, it is hard under the skin. I could not swat them off of me fast enough. Tried to do a little yard work, but had to quit because of these bugs. I am in GA and have never seen these bugs before now.

I have a pond in the back of my complex that has ducks and multiple trees as well. I'm not sure if these hell raisers are coming from the water or the tress. I open my windows when I clean and didn't notice anything until I got bit a couple of days ago. I was looking out my closed window and saw all of these tiny winged bugs attached to my screen. The bites are painful and I have them in my home with two little kids, I had to leave for their sake and health. Do you think the exterminator bombing my home will help this and them spraying the pond as well? Can they cling to your clothing and travel with you? Plaease HELP!!!
