Holy Moses! Is anyone else getting attacked outside? Their bringing down the crops around us and cannot even go outside. They are micro but have a mean bite! They showed up a week ago and today we stood for a minute outside and were covered with them. Their not fleas, too small. And when you hit them they smear. Bug spray won't help. Anyone else experiencing these bastards?

Thankfully, I haven't had the experience. They just took down a field full of beans next to us last week and we didn't get anything like that, thank goodness.

We probably got a basement full of mice instead. Ack! Oh well...gives us something to do in the winter. hehe

The black bugs are really tiny and bite worse then a mosquito. They feed and live in crops. When they start doing crops, they fly out to find other "homes". They just did the fields around my house, and they are everywhere. If you have pets, watch inside the ears. They like to crawl in them and bite. They will go away when it cools down. Other then that, really nothing you can do about them.

I found them on the internet-they are minute pirate bugs-looks like there is nothing you can do about them. Thanks for the info on the animals...have a friend coming to visit and bringing his dog. If you have been bit by one-you will know it! It said wear dark clothing and keep you windows shut, they will crawl in through the screens they are so small. Have to wait for the first freeze before they go away. They like to hang around soybean fields-they feast off of larva on the beans. They hurt because they have a hooknose the pierces the skin lookin for necture.

In the south, we call them "flying teeth."

They seem as though they are attacking you because there are so many. They do hurt like hell when they bite, maybe not as much swelling as a mosquito bite but they sure do hurt worse. Oh and they stink when you smash them, what is up with that. Good luck to all that have to deal with these damn things til it freezes-it's Nebraska no one knows when it is going to freeze.

Dont feel alone, those little guys bite us non stop most summer nights. Those little guys punch a ferious bite. Most of the time I can light my citronella candles and they go away or aren't as noticable.

If your feet and legs are bitten up, it sounds more like a flea infestation. Good luck getting rid of them.

Stop Pain works great for the itching. We have them in our office at work. We work at Blockbuster. They are really hard to see. But boy they are mean.

I am not sure what you have but around this time of the year in Ohio there is a tiny bug called a no see em. They are tiny but with a big bite. They are usually around for a month and then gone. Off will keep them off if you are working in the yard.
Google no see em and there is more info on them.
Unlike a mosquito bite they itch for a longer period of time.
Good luck

I got bit by one of the tiny black bugs, it's swollen and hurts worse than a bruise. The bite area ia really dark red. I've tried everything on it to take away the pain and nothing is working..

Open up the bite site so it can drain and put peroxide on it.
