Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to all you Hostess employees who no longer have jobs this morning because the unions wouldn't return to work as of yesterday by 4:30 P.M.

Hostess was already in chapter 11 bankruptcy so they are now just going to liquidate and no longer be in business. This is how your unions will be helping you celebrate your holidays.

They'll do it everytime. Unions & democrats are living in the 1930's. These poor folk do not realize that economic conditions in the '30's & economic situations in 2012 are not the same. These people need to "disenthrall" themselves & "think anew."

President Obama won the election, quit your whining. The previous President was an economic disaster.

Unions caused the loss of jobs, or management decided to close Hoastess and thereby cause the loss of jobs?

Let's get this clear, Obama is not the reason for Hostess collapse. I guess it was his fault when they first filed for bankruptcy a decade ago. This steams from increasing competition, as well as Americans becoming more conscientious about health.Oh....also greed from the CEO's.

The thing about Twinkies you can buy a bunch now, before they go out of business and they will last for several hundred years. So save some for your grand children and great grandchildren.

There is no food value in Hostess Twinkies and similar junk food to support bacterial or fungal life. No expiration date either.

Its a shame, I hate to see any company fail.
But Obama has created so much animosity and flat out hatred in the minds of the worker toward business people and company's by his BS. That this closing is probably just the beginning of many.
It is always hard to bring management and labor together. And it does not help with an anti business President sowing discord among the two that have to meet in the middle.
I continue to believe Obama's greatest failure has been a failure to heal the hearts and minds of the American people.

Voice is too busy paying Paul and Peter he doesn't have time or brains to read. Don't expect a two-way discussion with him.

Haha.

You are right...it is impossible to do. If he can't come up with an explanation for some stupid comment he makes in his amazingly long rants, he resorts to asking annoying questions.

It does no good to even attempt to have a rational conversation with him.

BCTGM members are well aware that as the company was preparing to file for bankruptcy earlier this year, the then CEO of Hostess was awarded a 300 percent raise (from approximately $750,000 to $2,550,000) and at least nine other top executives of the company received massive pay raises. One such executive received a pay increase from $500,000 to $900,000 and another received one taking his salary from $375,000 to $656,256.

What choice did they have? Given the current economic situation and the threat of Obamacare, some businesses will not be able to come out of chapter 11. There is too much uncertainty and too many financial risks.

You are correct! Obama won the election, thus he owns it. He did not pursue policy that is favorable to businesses, thus he blocked them from coming out of bankruptcy. Add in the effects of Obamacare, and you have an environment ripe for more closings and more job losses.

It is okay though. I am sure that those workers will find work at a temp agency for lower wages.

Really Mr. Hiker the college prof??? This is something that Don South would say. It appears that you also live on Bullshit Mountain. For not being a tea bagger, you sure do sound like one.
Don has an excuse, he is right wing retarded. You also appear to have the same affliction.
