Went to Gas America this morning to pick up a holiday paper, and beat the paper guy there, so I hung around and waited a bit. Nutsy, I know. Especially since I'd already seen every Black Friday ad on the internet. But tradition is tradition. ANYWAY, while I was sitting there like an idiot I killed some time watching the Sunsations sign. Does anyone but me think that sign is a distracting deathtrap that is turning an already dangerous intersection into an even worse problem? I don't mind the animations, bright lights and color as the statements transition, but they have turned on every possible bell and whistle on that sign. The text wiggles and jiggles and flashes to the point you can't read half of what's on there. As I watched the shaky flashy text scroll from blurb to blurb I just couldn't help thinking, "that is a really bad idea'. Especially right before that intersection where we've had many accidents. Anybody agree with me? I'm not saying the sign should go...it's a nice sign, just maybe they need asked to tone it down a little so that it's not so distracting. Or is it just me who's distracted?

I haven't seen that sign, GeekGal, but it does sound very distracting. They should tone it down. Many Web sites need to be toned down too. All those bells and whistles are counterproductive as well. The message doesn't get across. I just block them out and go elsewhere. Someone should give Distraction Station a call and clue them in. Sometimes less is better.

That makes no sense what so ever! If you are going toward the theatre the sign is right out in front of you. So you should know exactly what it is! Damn you people like to complain! About nothing!

It's just another stupid sign where someone thinks they are a "graphic artist" like a whole lot of other dumb business signs in Bellefontainez. My question is about your facts. What is your proof on amount of accidents near or close to the area/intersection? How many within last 6
mo 12 mo 18 mo 24 mo etc.?

I don't have any "facts". I just drive through it a lot and over the last 10 years I have seen quite a few accidents there and have had a couple of close calls. It's also very congested at "rush" hour times.

As far as all the comments about stupid women drivers, I haven't had a ticket in 10 years. I was just trying to post something on this forum that I thought people might be interested in commenting on, something that actually has to do with BELLEFONTAINE, which IS what this forum is called, rather than all these holier than thou religious and political comments! Probably all of which are postef by stupid men drivers...
