The Logan County Sheriff’s Office reports that the former Logan Acres office manager embezzled more than $21,000 over a three-year period.

Deputies charged Leonard Cline (pictured), 45, of 3929 County Road 64, DeGraff, with fourth-degree felony theft Thursday.

Cline reportedly stole $21,028.75 between January ’07 and March ’10.

He admitted to taking money from the Logan Acres cash account and resident trust fund.

In most cases, Cline wrote company checks to himself and then cashed them.

Checks were also made out to Ohio State University for athletic camps for his family and the Indian Lake Soccer Association.

Cline confessed to Logan Acres management and the sheriff’s office in mid April.

Deputies issued the summons Thursday morning.

Cline worked at Logan Acres for ten years. He was terminated last month.

He will appear in Bellefontaine Municipal Court Friday, June 4th at nine a.m.

Mary Begley did the same thing at St. Patrick's in Ohio. She switched jobs and the replacement apparently found such a large amount of $ missing that the feds are involved...

Still lives in the community and acts as if nothing happened. How can he hold his head up?

I talked to his wife at a coach pitch game and she said the are working on a deal with the Prosecutor no jail time he just has to make payment towards restitution still trying to determine if he will have to pay it all. The are not pushing time because he admitted to his actions.

It's called diversion ...he still has to pay the money back. Shameful, he and Davis accused Collins of stealing from the soccer association, and all the time Cline was doing it.

Diversion is the easy way out when you are guilty. No trial, no jail time, no record. I would think that one would be on a probationary period for an amount of time. It is easy for the court system too.
