Hey man, I'm all for freedom of religion, and you have a right to believe what you just wrote.

Just try not to mix it with your politics and force us to believe it.

Carry on.

The Rosetta Stone is an ancient Egyptian granodiorite stele inscribed with a decreit, and supposedly provided the key to the modern understanding of Egyptian hieroglyphs.
But even as great as some consider the Rosetta Stone and those Egyptian hieroglyphs to be, they pail in comparison to the eternal scriptures and what they provide to mankind in terms of wisdom and solace. I have a set of the Harvard Classics in my personal library, and they also fail to approach the wisdom of the eternal scripture.
I have said before that the scriptures will always speak louder for themselves, then any man can speak on there behalf.
The scriptures like truth are there own best defense. Scripture like truth needs no defense. The only thing a man can do with truth is witness to it, it needs no defense.
Although many have attempted to discredit and beat upon scripture. It remains as true and faithful today as when first penned.
What would the world be like without the Scriptures?
Who would the young couple take their vows before?
What would frame the heart and beauty of the wedding ceremony?
What would be used to bring the words of solace to the bereaved?
Where would an individual find the words too comfort?
Where would the words of a later resurrection be found to encourage the bereaved?
Where would love thy neighbor be found?
Where could a man like Jesus be found outside of scripture?
What would an individual lay his hand upon and swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth?
How would man explain the stars above and the planets set upon their courses?
Why does man have emotions, where did they come from?
Who would tell man that Love and Fear are the greatest of all motivators?
Why does the bible bring solace in death, but science and atheism does not?
Why is a minister on call at the hospital and not a scientist or atheist?
Why does the minister provide hope, but not an atheist or scientific discovery?
How would man explain his existence, why would history be worth recording?
How would we know who thank for the Sun and Rain?
How would millions celebrate Easter?
How would greeting cards express many of there uplifting sentiments?
What would we print on our money, in who would we trust?
How would we know who to pledge our allegiance to?
Who would tell us we are a delightsome land?
What would they place in the chapel at St.Jude?
What would we read from as we honor our veterans?
Who would we give thanks to on Thanksgiving day?
Yes skeptics have pounded upon the anvil of Gods word for eons and continue to pound, but the anvil has withstood all there blows and busted all their hammers.
Man will always be in need of the indispensable word of God and the eternal truths it imparts. No Rosetta Stone, no volume of Harvard Classics, no scientific knowledge will ever be as indispensable as the eternal truths and realities that the scriptures have spoken to the heart and soul of all mankind for all time!
Silly Voice, your originality is lacking since you posted this rambling earlier this year on another thread- http://www.topix.com/forum/city/bellefontaine...

And you also received my responses to your inquiries though I did notice that you failed to comment on any of them, perhaps you will review them here and make comment?

http://www.topix.com/forum/city/bellefontaine...

My apologies for not posting them again in whole but you are not worth the effort, as miniscule of an effort it would have been to do so.

Have a great weekend Silly Voice. Come back with something new and you may earn an efforted response.

Still at it huh, KJ? Why am I not surprised? Sorry, but the Bible is not the word of God. It is the word of man....many men, actually. You know this. We've been through this. Folks who believe that the Bible is the literal word of their god, are simply delusional. There is no way around it. We cannot even truly get to the idea that a lot of the stuff in the Bible isn't even good, without first acknowledging that there is no such thing as the literal word of God. Gods don't write books. Man does. There are many immoral concepts that are spread through this device but you will never be able to see them for what they are as long as you continue to believe that it is the literal word of an infallible god. How did you determine that the Bible was the literal word? Why not the Quran or maybe the Torah? Perhaps none of the Abbrahamic religions got it right. But seriously, is there even one good reason to believe that the Bible is the literal word of God, aside from simply wanting to? I didn't think so.....JMO

More of your canned spam answers that have nothing to do with what was commented on.
Once again, you lose. And considering you personally believe that you speak for your "god", what does that say about "him"?

@ Silly Voice:
"I provide truth to all and individuals make up their own mind. And you being an atheist are afforded that same choice as well."
/// No, you provide your personal opinion and your spin of something that has been interpreted many different ways over the years. You show only what you want your "audience" to see and blow off the reality of your buybull that is shown to you because it clashes with what you write.///
"And if an individual atheist as yourself enjoy wallowing in unbelief that's your prerogative, your free to do so."
/// I enjoy a complete interpretation and explanation of something, not the half-assed gibberish you provide for the purpose of spreading hate all in the name of your "god". And though your buybull is a good fictional read, that is all that it is...fiction. But obviously with people like you and Fred Phelps around, even fiction can be used to spread hate and lies about their fellow man...not to mention the misogynistic attitudes you and your buybull subscribe to.///
"And as I have shown before, a man convinced against his will is still of the same opinion."
/// The motivator "fear" can and is used by you and your buybull to convince people of it's righteousness. It is that fear that you and your buybull prey upon to keep people in line.///
"And all atheist opinions of God and scripture are void of any consideration or authority what so ever."
/// And this too is your opinion. Many atheists know more about "god" and your scriptures because they do look at it with an open mind and do not fall for the "god did it" mentality as many do. I believe that some of your stronger and more happy christians are those that do question their "god"....you are not one of those stronger christians...you are merely a follower and a talking head. As you have clearly shown, when you are backed into a corner with truths about your buybull's fallacies, you slink away or spout something nonsensical. Honestly you have no business in trying to explain your "god" to anyone...your version is woefully incomplete.///

Yea, you said that once before...it meant as much then as it does now.

And since you said it once before, I will tack on my reply once again just for you:

"And this too is your opinion. Many atheists know more about "god" and your scriptures because they do look at it with an open mind and do not fall for the "god did it" mentality as many do. I believe that some of your stronger and more happy christians are those that do question their "god"....you are not one of those stronger christians...you are merely a follower and a talking head. So what game shall we play next? Oh...shouldn't you be in church preying on the weak...errrr...praying for people?

In other words, if you are not a brainwashed believer, KJ doesn't care what you think. He only wishes to cater to those individuals who are afflicted with the same or similar delusions as he is. Unfortunately for him, the level of belief one holds is no reflection on the truthfulness of the claim. As has been stated many times before, your average atheist usually knows a lot more about the Bible and its history than your basic Christian does. It is why they are not Christians, lol. The quickest rout to atheism = reading the Bible. JMO

Wll, well, well you are just full of repeating posts aren't you? Just how many threads have you posted this little rant to? No matter, like many have said before...when backed into a corner, all you spew is nonsensical diversionary comments.

For a person of your advanced age, you really do act like a spoiled child who has been told "no".

This was answered before but you obviously have some dying need to read it again:

Why is a minister on call at the hospital and not a scientist or atheist?
"Because people of faith think that it will help them get into heaven if they confess their love for their god on their deathbed. Because they are afraid of death and thinking they will have a better chance of getting into heaven with the help of a minister. Because they want someone to try and explain what they hope will happen after death."

You were expecting a different answer Silly Voice?

You must be bored...

Where could a man like Jesus be found outside of scripture?
/// A man like this is found in many scriptures pre-dating the NT. Besides...other than for christians, jebus is irrelevant.///

And to add on to this, there are many people who say that they speak for "god" or are the son of "god"...you, Silly Voice, are included as those who say they speak for "god" and know what "god" wants from his minions. Buit then again, nmost of those, including yourself, who say they speak for "god" also have mental instability about them and are not taken seriously by those that do nbelieve in a "god".

This is fun, what shall we play next?

Ask your psychologist and/or psychiatrist. Some of the writings of Darwin may be of help too.

Good luck to you although I am sure you will reject their scientific and logical way of thinking.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but if you are an example, let alone an actual witness, to the contents of what the Bible instructs mankind to live, act, believe, and treat others, then you do a pizz poor job of it because you turn people off to God instead of leading them to him.

And how do you 'know' I am an unbeliever? Judging again by t your own standards, aren't you? You should be concentrating on how your own judgement day is going to work out.
