All the money had to paid upfront the day the pictures were taken. The reason it was so much is we bought the disks. Other wise it was more like $150 dollars. The order was all wrong when I went to pick up the pictures poses that we wanted were not printed and the 10x13 framed picture was not included like we ordered. This was my first time ordering pictures from a studio so I am not sure if this is how all places work. It was our daughters first pics and we wanted them to be the best. It was a major disappointment to me and Joey.
money never has to be paid in full when you order the pics i knw this for a fact. and if u hated the pictures why would you order them? another fact is they dont offer framed 10x13 pics none of wht your posting on here about your experience makes any sense i agree with others on here tht it seems like your trying to make them look bad!

I never heard of a photo studio charging money up front for pictures. They take a series of shots, develop and print them as photographer's proofs, and then try to con you into ordering many more than you ever intended. But never in advance of seeing the initial results. Times must have changed. I'd never agree to anything like that. Study the fine print on anything you signed. There should be some guarantee of satisfaction.
When I complained about the pictures the women working threw a card at me that landed on floor (and stayed there) for a free 8x10....Great customer service

Yes the times I have been in there they have always said you can pay a certain percent now and then pay for the remainder when you pick them up.and you do get to sit down and look at every picture on the computer before you purchase. You should have noticed they were not what you wanted when you saw the proofs on the computer.

Many, MANY years ago, I had my daughter's photos done at Sears. The total cost was just over $200. The photos were great and I think that's because my daughter was the most BEAUTIFUL child ever. Still is to this day.

Nowadays? Take your $330 and buy yourself a decent digital camera and tripod and do your own photos. Or find someone that already has the camera and tripod and pay them the money to do your photos. In this day and age, there's no reason or need for photo studios.

You got it right here. A nice sheet for a back drop with whatever color you want and a digital camera can do the job for far less. If you can use a photoshop program or know someone who can, you can get a better job for less money and get the photos you want. The Walmart photos I have seen used very basic effects. We had photos done (before digital cameras) at Sears. They were indeed very good.

You are a pretty fine photographer, LoCo Mom. I'll bet people would pay you to come over and have their portraits taken. They could get nice studio or outdoor poses and a handfull of prints for not too much money. Good deal for them, and you would reap a little bread too.

Lord, anyone ought to be able to do THAT one at home with an inexpensive digital camera!

Are commercial studios using digital cameras and ink jet printers nowadays? If so, yeah, why not do it at home?

There's no way they made you pay the entire cost up front. That just doesn't make any sense and if you were "crying" so bad you couldn't decide what to get why on earth did you then end up spending $300. This once again sounds like an attempt to ruin the reputation of a company. I'm not saying it's a nice photo studio or that WalMart is a good place lol. You'd definitely be better off with a digital camera and a nice, sunny day. Mekah is a good photographer though, she just works for an awful company and has to abide by their absurd rules

U must hav had a bad day because they hav several people there not just one. Several of us went this year. There was no wait and great pics.

What pisses me off is when you have their 1st reservation that morning and they show up a half hr late for work. If you get a later reservation in the day, then plan on spending an couple hours waiting. If you're in line with a group of 6 or more people getting family pics/family portrait,go home or you'll wait 2 more hours.
No pictures this year because I'm tire of waiting. Pictures did turn out pretty good.

Reading these comments are pretty funny. I used to work. There. Meka is probably the best photographer they've had. The company sucks but worker is great. I went in with a budget she helped me stay with it. Pics were great ( I saw them before I ordered) and she was very creative. One made my mom cry ! If u are buyin stuff u don't like u r dumb. Another girl there took my cuzs photos her name was mandi or randy or somethin. She was good to. I agree with previous statements looks like your hatin.....

I have a 14 month old and I have had her pics done there twice now! They came out GREAT both times I had them done! The second time she was cranky and they still got great pics of her!!! You do NOT have to order if you are unhappy with them!!! If it was that big of a deal then you could have asked for a phone number to contact someone above them and have something done about it!!!

Idiot everyone has to train ! When training everyone has to start some where. I was there in october through some training of theirs and joked with girls about bosses inability to let them shoot. she said finally she had to stand back and let em go.
