It could be worse, Bellefontaine lost by more than a double score & they mustered only 22 points for the whole game, most teams score that much in 2 quarters and sometimes in only one quarter.

It's just as bad down at WL-S, Coach Hollar doesn't know how to keep the winning ways of the junior high teams going when they reach the high school level. Last years 7th & 8th grade teams combined lost only 1 game. Watch & see how well they do under Hollar in a couple years. It's been that way for years down there, he's worn out his welcome.

It's like that everywhere. These kids nowaday can't keep off the video game systems. They live on their xbox,wii,ps3,Ipod, and no time to put all the hours of practice that we older folks did in our youth.A lot of the smaller schools barely get enough players to field a team of 5.

Once they hit highschool, then they're hooked on drugs.

Bellefontaine will beat Ben Logan by 20. They were playing w/o best player & Stebbins is a quality opponent. You prob only read scores on paper. Go to a game...you might learn something!

Wondering how many of the 'adults' on here criticizing the boys on the court have ever actually played basketball? My hunch is not many. If you were blessed with all state skills, how many hours a season do you volunteer?

Volunteer:
noun; "a person who performs a service willingly and without pay."

Half the teams lose on the court every night.

The thing is Indian Lake hasnt even won a game yet, i dont think there is a team out there that will lose to the lake and if they do, they must be sorry! if anyone knows a team worse than Indian Lake please tell me because i have to see if for myself. and i also think a lot of IL's problems start with the coach, I dont know what his over all record is as a HS bball coach but i know its not very good. IL had a great group of ball players last year and only scraped out four wins, there is little players can do when there coach doesnt teach them anything becasue he himself doesnt know the game!

ya and the coaches so playes way to much, in my opinion, keep in mind this is just an opinion his son should be a jv at best, the seniors are not getting enough playing time and those are the best players they have on the team

As a former Indian Lake basketball player ( and one that actually played on a winning team) its obvious not many here know what they are talking about. The team is the epitome of an Indian Lake team because like always, there is only 1 to 2 good classes at a time. In this case, the younger classes have more talent and desire yet are obviously just a little underdeveloped. Whoever said the seniors need to play more doesn't watch them or the school play often. They have no real desire or any skills that would hold up at any other schools.

The best players regardless of class should play, period. Don't halt there development by playing inferior senior players. Put the best 5 out there. This year it looks like that may be a mix.

Also, as far as the coaches son goes, regardless of how good he is, that happens at IL all the time. Administrators or teachers sons seem to overstay there welcome, especially when they are upperclassmen and shouldnt be on the floor.

first of all, some of you guys who wanna get on here and run your mouths because you think you no what goes on inside the double doors at the lake you have got it all wrong. you guys don't know.i not saying that i do either but here is what i will say the senior class is not willing to work they just wanna run the court because they r the upper class-men and its there last year here. well maybe if we had some more leaders this 0-9 would be different and about the coaches son you don't no what kind of work that this coach has to dill with not having size or allot of numbers now iv been to a few games and iv seen it he has to do with what he has he is not liking john hey and Dayton Dunbar the best teams in the state with there line up that there all over 6 feet tall and 5 inches.and have high numbers so before you get on here and run your mouths no what the hell your talking about or keep your mouth shut and stay out of it. i know damn well have of you that r committing on this have not played BB before or coached so you could not do any better then what the lake is now so just shut up in less you no something and y'all don't no so just shut up!

I played for Indian Lake a loooong time ago. Seems to me that Indian Lake basketball players have a hard time playing as a team.

all i know is i also played inside those "double doors" at indian lake hahaha and that means shit. since the Tuttle era begain a year ago he has only won 4 games, all with last years team who in my opinion should have won 10 or 12 games. it was poor coaching! i know there are a lot of coaches out there that would have done way better with both last years and this years team.. ie Dave Meiar, Varsity coach at Ben Logan, BL is lucky to have such a good couch that understands basketball. I also dont agree with always hiaring teachers to be coaches, THAT NEVER WORKS!

The group last here 10 to 12 wins? I think that would equal what the group won from 7th grade to 11th besides the Reichaert that played with older groups.

Would you believe that the WL-S boys BB coach Hollar is also the elementary school principal? How many jobs does he need? You can only excel at one or the other, not both. His past record as a coach has proved that. The successful junior high BB program consistently turns out winning teams every year but when they get to the HS level, Hollar can't keep that momentum going. He's worn out his welcome & it's time for him to turn it over to someone else and move on.

You are so right it does start with the coaching staff, but I do believe the Athletic Director is a BIG problem with the lake. He does not hire coaches with decent stats or records. He only wants coaches who are either friends or highly named individuals.

All of Indian Lakes Athletic teams seem to have problems. It has to do with who the school board or athletic director chooses to have coach. There is lots of talent in the school from freshmans to seniors but talent only goes so far without the proper coach. Without a good neutral coach the team falls apart. All the coaching staff needs to be revamped, from football, baseball, basketball to softball. And just like the last comment the athletic director needs to go!! He has no desire to worry about the teams only sits in his office and collects the 70 plus grand per year!!

It was not because of good coaching or playing, it was a horribly played game with awful officiating. One team had to win and the lake just happened to be on top when time ran out. I wouldn't be proud of the w.,
