very defensive...seems to know alot about this situation....lol
guess again..I do however own a small buisness in LC. I have had employees, after 2 weeks of work, start complaning about their pay rate, job requirements, benefits, etc..when all that was explained in the interview, before they accepted the job offer.

It's in a rundown building almost right on top of the train tracks with no parking......what are you really expecting?? Everyone knows that place is a dump but you chose to work there, so deal with it or quit!!

EWH is anequal opportunity employer.
Yes we drug test to hire as do most other businesses. If you cant pass the test dont apply because only half of you pass. Yes we do offer raises if you come to work and they are all told that in their intervue. We stress attendance. Most of any one that is compalining has probably missed 5-8 days in their 90 days.(yes they would not get a raise) I am sorry that people think that they can get a job and miss a day a week and think that it is considered good attendance. We have alot of good employees that work at EWH and we will have more to come and go. if someone can better themselves then we are all for that. No one has ever heard me sream and cuss at any employee. Obviously the person that wrote this did not like their job at EWH and probably is complaining about the job they have now. Lets face it no one likes to be told what to do by anybody but you can suck it up and work for your money like everyone else does and stop blaming everyone else for your resons why you have not been successfull in life. To any one looking for a job we are hiring. we our not hiring people. we are hiring workers that want to work and want to get out of bed and come in and get paid. If you have an issue with me 420 juggalo My door is always open and i welcome you back to tell me how EWH has caused you so much Grief that you cant get over it and go on with your life.

My first boss I ever had i hated because he made me work. I now respect him because i now know that he was doing his job. If i would have been doing mine i would have gotten along fine with him.

the same goes for Employees at EWH those that work and do their job. Do not have any issues with the supervisors or the management. It is only the Bad apples that Have problems with authority. Unfortunately it only takes 1 bad apple to spoil the Bunch sometimes.

i would think mr T that if u made wages more appealing and offered a few benefits and quite possibly offered a "good job" or "thank you" rather than we need more more more...then quite possibly u might get employees that would take thier job a lil more serious and come to work....from wat i hear everyone there thinks they are making u rich...and thats great...u are the business owner...but mayb share the wealth a little and grace ur emoployees and u might see that that takes u a little farther with devoted employees who want to come to work and work hard for their better wages and for u as well... its tough to run a business in this economy i agree...but some better human relations may just be the trick! these people are adults and need a paycheck and from wat i hear they are sometimes treated like children or inmates....this is not good human relations! just a thought

Your post has some validity, but as a business owner myself, I have paid people what they are "worth" and they still complain. We have become a society of entitlement..People think they should be paid higher wages, but still aren't willing to do the work they were hired to do. How long has EWH Spectrum been in business? Quite a few number of years if memory serves me. Do you think they have stayed in business because they treat their employees bad? Do they stay in business because they ask more of their employees than what is fair? Do they stay in business because they offer low wages and a horrible work experince? Ohio is an 'At Will Work' state..look that up, see what it means..no one is forcing anyone to stay at a job they hate, just like no one forced them to take the job in the first place...McDonalds is always hiring..

I walked into a store yesterday and heard a clerk say, "I only make $10.00/hr. I thought to myself, that is $400.00/wk and $1600.00/month. That is more than most social security checks PLUS you get to take your children off as dependents. I know the price of gas drives up the cost of everything else, but we must live with it.

Like I said before I have a job that I like and Im making alot better money. My post was to draw attintion to the miss treatment of the workers still there that have not got as lucky as me to get away. Is it true that EWH charges there workers for mistakes? I was never disiplined while working at EWH and made up any hours that was missed during the same week that the hours was missed. So I'm still wondering after reading your post why I never recieved a raise or insurance. I ask of you Matt to open this conversation up to your workers and see if they have the same oppinion as you. Topix is free and I'm shure we would all love to hear first hand from your "workers".

I worked at ewh and witnesses the favortism shown by the two female supervisors if they don't like u for any reason you have no chance keeping your job but if they like u or u kiss up u can get away with anything including missing three weeks for "anxiety" so attendance must not b that important glad I don't work there anymore!!

You sound to me like a crybaby whiner, That lives by the ideology that they are always "OWED" something. If you got away from there, why are you on here even bringing it up? It is peolple like you that are ruining our country!! And I'm sure you voted for Obama! So give it a rest, and "get a life"

thank obamacare for a lot of that. when obamacare goes all the way into effect and companies have to have insurance for their employees they will hire more temps to get around the cost.

Careful, there are alot of haters on here that cant read. They are quick to judge and call you alot of names(like there oppinion means sh**). But yes I agree with you. I just thought it was time to draw attintion to the situation. I met alot of good people up there that just want to make a living. People are so quick to say you dont like it quit but there aint alot of jobs out there. I guess its easier to let bullsh** go on then do something about it in there eyes.
