Mother decapitates son, stabs herself to death
A New Jersey woman decapitated her 2-year-old son with a kitchen knife, placed his head in the freezer and then stabbed herself to death yesterday, officials said.
She only recently had regained custody of her son after allegedly leaving him unattended in a car, telling police that she had smoked marijuana laced with the hallucinogenic drug PCP and blacked out in a nearby park.

North Canton Police found the victim's head also inside the trailer.

Smith's mother called 911 when she came across his decapitated body in his trailer in North Canton where he lived alone.
"Ah, yes, this is Judy Smith. I'm at my son's trailer park," Smith told the 911 dispatcher. "And, we just broke in and it looks like he's in the bathroom, but his head's missing."
"She hadn't seen her son in a while and she was concerned about him," said Chief Grimes.
During the 911 call Smith's mother seemed calm when the dispatcher asked if she saw him in the bathroom.
"It looks like him. The legs do," said Judy Smith.

Earl and Mildred Mathis lost their son in March, when he crashed into a guardrail and was decapitated.
The Ohio Department of Transportation wants the couple to pay for a new guardrail,
"Well first of all, it was shocking because I wasn't expecting anything like that," Mildred Mathis said. "For them to expect my dead son to pay for his own death, I think it's ridiculous."
The couple said that they keep getting letters about an $853 bill to replace a steel guardrail where Interstate 71 and State Route 480 merge together.
The couple, who are both in their 70s, said that they have health problems and have no money to pay it.
"We don't have any income, except for social security and we have to file bankruptcy,".

Texas pastor fatally beaten with electric guitar in church attack
FOREST HILL — Police worked into the night Monday trying to determine what caused a 33-year-old man to crash his car into a church here and then bludgeon the popular pastor to death with an electric guitar.
The church’s janitor was also beaten, though not severely, before the suspect died in the back of a squad car several minutes after he had been shot with a Taser gun by police.
Authorities said the Rev. Danny Kirk, 53, pastor of Greater Sweethome Missionary Baptist Church, died at the scene of the late-morning attack in the suburb on the southeast side of Fort Worth. The janitor, 59-year-old John Whitaker, was treated for a broken jaw. A church secretary locked herself in her office to escape the 11:12 a.m. attack where she was able to call 911.
Caller:“I think someone’s trying to break in … it was like a loud crash … I need an ambulance also. My pastor’s bleeding. He’s been attacked.”

Clothing store loses $3,000 worth of jeans in flash rob
Monday, July 30, 2012
A clothing store in a trendy Chicago neighborhood is one of the latest victims of a so-called flash mob robbery — when a large group storms into a shop to collectively rip off a retailer.
About 20 people entered the Mildblend Supply Co. in Wicker Park on Saturday afternoon, together grabbing more than $3,000 worth of high-priced denim jeans, according to police.
“I’ve gotten somewhat immune to the shoplifting here with young people, but this one was certainly different,” store owner Luke Cho told NBC 5 Chicago Sunday.
Teenage Flash Mob Robberies on the Rise
Called “flash robs,” these crimes are being organized by young teenagers through various social media outlets, most notably Twitter. Police say the suspects select a time and place and enter the store in droves taking what they want and leaving before security or police can catch them.
Some of the most brazen robberies take place in the light of day and on busy streets despite all the security cameras and the watchful eyes of workers.
“Young people are risk takers; they do things in groups far more than adults
On April 25, G Star Raw, workers at a retail store in Dupont Circle were caught off guard as a group of about 20 teenagers swarmed the store, stopping to look through sizes, taking over $20,000 worth of merchandise and promptly exiting the building.
