Have you noticed that Cruz even looks like the reincarnation of Joe McCarthy....maybe with a little more hair this time? LOL.

It's really ugly and disgusting that this kind of anti-Americanism is rearing its ugly heard again. It seems the tea-party really does want to take us back-wards, clear to the 1950s, including its vile period of McCarthyism. The dim adherents of FOX News will be frightened into believing such trash. Look at Don- who already thinks Obama has ushered in communism!

The good thing about this is that it's going to turn off even more independents this time.

Cruz is nothing more than another cola in the KOCH machine.

There is a tactic employed by republicans called the Beckian goof. They say outrageous, insipid, ridiculous things to encourage strong liberal opposition thus making them look like innocent victims to the mezmerized right wing droolers who like to believe that there is a communist menace of the same scale that Mcarthy railed about. It is sometimes hard to believe that there is a signifigant percentage of the American population who are of sub-normal intelligence. Cruze is their champion.

I've never heard of the "Beckian goof" (maybe you can explain).....but his name is "Cruz".

He's Canadian.

Ted Cruz was born in Calgary, in the Canadian state of Alberta, where his parents lived while working in the oil business. His father, Rafael, was born in Cuba

Are you going to just copy and paste a snippet from an article without giving the source, Zen?

It seems you are no better than the South-types we have here.

Really?

Really?
I'm just giving you certain facts, to where he was born. That's all I'm doing, I don't really care to publish an entire article about his life. This information can be found anywhere.

When has Don South ever produced any facts?

I don't care what you're "giving". If you copy and then paste someone else's words, verbatim, from another source ( http://projects.wsj.com/campaign2012/mobile/c... ), and not give credit to the author, then you are no better than he is.

Ok it's from an Wall St Journal article, but no matter what you think, those words are are not unique, they are well documented fact. If I write that George Washington was our first President, I'm certain that there are thousands of articles and books stating that same thing. It's not plagiarism when it's a known fact, if however I steal an entire article or book and present it as being my own , then it is plagiarism. You're being a pain in the ass about something very insignificant just because you happen to fancy the freak.

It's named after a strategy that the whacky Glenn Beck uses all the time. Just spit anything you out about someone, and then make them try to prove they aren't guilty of what they are accused of. Half the crap he throws out is nothing more than dung he's scraped out of his ass, and it is so ridiculous a person has no way even to combat such crazy accusations. For instance I could say your mother was a prostitute and conceived you out of wedlock but got married before you were born so you wouldn't be considered illegitimate. This would then be repeated over and over again until dimwits took it as true. To prove it false, you'd
wind up spending lots of money making your dad get a DNA test to prove he was the father, or whatever. Now you are a lady, so don't take what I just said as an insult. Just trying to show how difficult it is to defend oneself after some of these despicable rumors and conspiracies those on the right like Beck are always coming up with. And Cruz is no exception! Understand now, I hope.

If you do not think that our universities are inundated with communist/socialist professors you are nuts. I know I witnessed it first had back in the early 1990's. I difficulty my freshman year, when the indoctrination begins, because I kept dropping classes when I realized what these professors stood for.

Then you should have attended a Christian University.
The one I attended was conservative, however, when relating to those who had less, you would have thought them to be liberal.
As a tea member, you have little room to bitch about indoctrination. It's all tribal, and we choose the tribe in which we want to be a part of.

The Russian Communists readily admitted that at the present stage of evolution they were national socialists just as much as the German Nazis were. The Russians' bone of contention was over which side could be more treacherous to the other. IMHO they were both pretty attrocious.
