Tim Green is an awesome police officer. If you know him personally you would understand. He always thinks of others first. Hmmmm just the opposite of the City administration. Anyways .. let's stay on topic and give kudo's to Tim for doing an awesome job. He better get an award for this arrest!!!!

I don't know Officer Tim Green but it goes to show you that being aware of what is happening around you and following your 1st mind usually leads you right.
Hats off to Officer Tim Green

I give Kudos to Officer Green. He has done a wonderful job by getting this Man off the streets. He is capable of anything. Praise God that he is off the streets, I hope he never gets out of Prison so he will be able to harm anyone.

Kudos again to this officer who got the scum off the streets. I'm sure we can all agree we need more police of this caliber.

My question is, Is this officer some sort of supercop, or just doing his job? Shouldn't this be expected off all our officers? Shouldn't every police officer being doing their job?

Tim is a good guy, and friend to many in the community.“Supercop”? He does not wear a cape, although I will say the TV camera and protective vest these guys/gals must wear are not flattering. Tim is one of many caring members on the police force. It is an honor to know and support many of these officers. Yes Tim was doing his job, he was at the right place at the right time, but more importantly observant. Yes one could say “that is his training” and that would be correct. Fortunately and I repeat fortunately we are not writing today giving our condolences to an officers family and friends such as we've done in the past. So today the community is fortunate and we should congratulate Officer TIM, Lord knows we do not get that chance too often these days. Congratulations TIM for a job well done and keeping all of us safe. And to all the men and women in the Flor. PD, a sincere thank you for all that you do. Mark

Well said, Mark! Lord knows that some people don't allow our police forces to be human and sometimes miss something, etc. When that's the case, they show their aggrivation toward the police and they will sure be on here griping. So when they are the reason for things like a little girl still being alive, people need to give big time thanks and praise.

I think it was great that the media didn't 'spin' this one over and gave kudo's to Officer Green. I pray to God there are no other victims.

Tim Green is one of the best Florissant cops. He however,he is one of the ones that gets screwed over by the brass. He has been passed over for positions that he deserved because he displeased Captian Comb over. Hopefully he will get some praise for a job well done!!

Yes I agree, Tim is a friend to many and an extra special officer that loves his job or he wouldnt be a police officer for as many years as he has been. Some officers that do put on a uniform think they dont have to go the extra mile but many, many do and they should be applauded for that. We have a lot of great officers out there and they should be reconized, to bad they dont get paid well enough for what they have to encounter. St Louis County and your muni's they need better pay!!!!!!!

With the world the way it is today young ladies should not walk alone. It is a shame that you can't walk to school or the bus stop without some perv trying to get at you. We all are at risk. Keep your wits about you because you don't know where the next nut is coming from.

Kudos to all officers who risk their lives daily to keep up safe.

However, I question whether there is a hero in this case. Sure, Fox2 and other media want stories...they want good ones, so Officer Green got the gold star this time. Not saying he isn't a great guy, but maybe not a HERO in this case.

Based on the many accounts of this news story, I have concluded this was simply a situation gone badly. When I was younger and getting prepared for college, I was approached MANY MANY times by guys as I walked to my afternoon job and on the way home. If I had to count the number of times a man asked me where I was going and if he could take me there, I would loose count somewhere around the 192nd time within a few years. Does that mean they were trying to abduct me? I seriously doubt it.– in fact, and many of you may not want to hear this, I could probably recall that 3% of those times that the “guy” pulling along side of me “flirting” was one of your St. Louis County finest in their patrol car, bold enough to even ask for a phone number…maybe they didn’t know my age…but I digress.

In addition to the younger guys who would approach me, I have had PLEANTY of older men (my grandfather’s age) pull along side of me while headed home from work as a teen, and they would ask why am I walking alone and could they give me a ride. Of course I would say NO, because I was TAUGHT not to talk to strangers. BUT Did I run home and report an attempted abduction? NOT AT ALL.

No disrespect to our law enforcement in any way, but let’s not allow Fox2 and other news sources to make this a bigger deal than what it is. The guy fled and maybe other crimes following that, but I seriously doubt if this guy is an “ABDUCTOR”. Are we saying this incident constitutes him in the same category as Michael Devlin? No way.

Knowledge-is-power St. Louis…get some ~ and make your own decisions...don't let the media do it for you.

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Sagittarius

Moodiness is never far away today, making you over-react to problems and giving you a tendency to take out your feelings on your nearest and dearest. If someone asks you what's really wrong, you'll struggle to explain and may even have to give up because you can't put it into words. It's like an itch that you can't scratch, and you don't know where it stems from or what it means.
