Mitch McConnell takes your tax cut hostage, again

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is taking on hostage-taking duty for the Republicans this week, and as always, it's in order to protect the rich and powerful from paying their fair share of taxes. On Wednesday, Majority Leader Harry Reid attempted to set up two votes on the tax extensions: the Democrats, which would just extend the cuts for the first $250,000 in earnings, and a Republican bill that would extend it for rich people, too.

Typically, Republicans are on the wrong side of all the issues, but they still play savvy politics.

Lately, they've botched the politics on the ACA decision.

They have botched the politics concerning their War on Women.

They have profoundly botched the politics on job creation.

Now they are about to politically botch their never-ending war on the 99%.

Last but not least, they nominated Mitt Romney as their presidential candidate.

Even Rick Santorum admitted that was a political botch of monumental proportions.

I think this should be intuitively obvious but with the tax cuts expiring, the GOP millionaires are going all in to find ways to keep these tax cuts permanent and locked in sync with other income brackets making it virtually impossible to raise rates for just those making over $1 million let alone $250,000.

The GOPs plan is to keep them linked, decoupled and rates on higher brackets can be more easily adjusted, this is what they want to block.

They are using the middle class to keep their rates at historically super low rates, keeping the richest 1% locked in virtual perpetuity of extracted wealth.

Voter Purge Efforts Likely to Spread After Florida Victory in Database Case

Florida election officials will have access to a federal database to help purge its voter rolls of non-citizens under an agreement reached between state and federal officials and welcomed on Saturday by Florida's Republican governor.

"We've already confirmed that non-citizens have voted in past elections here in Florida," Gov. Rick Scott, who has spearheaded the purge effort, said in a statement welcoming the agreement.

"Now that we have the cooperation of the Department of Homeland Security, our state can use the most accurate citizenship database in the nation to protect the integrity of Florida's election process.

LQQK HERE:

Romney and all the GOP Trolls are ranting and raging about how bad a job Obama has done with jobs and bringing down the Unemployment Rate.!

Let’s take a closer look !

At the start of Reagan’s first fiscal Year Unemployment Rate (UE) was 7.9%
After 34 fiscal Months*, the UE rate was 7.2%, a reduction of .7%

At the start of Bush1’s first fiscal Year Unemployment Rate (UE) was 5.3%
After 34 fiscal Months*, the UE rate was 7.6%, a gain of 2.3%!

At the start of Clinton’s first fiscal Year Unemployment Rate (UE) was 6.8%
After 34 fiscal Months*, the UE rate was 5.6%, a reduction of 1.2%!

At the start of Bush2’s first fiscal Year Unemployment Rate (UE) was 5.3%
After 34 fiscal Months*, the UE rate was 5.6%, a gain of .3%!

At the start of Obama’s first fiscal Year Unemployment Rate (UE) was 10%
After 34 fiscal Months*, the UE rate was 8.2 %, a reduction of 1.8%!

The Truth ,,,, the Facts… Obama has out performed every President in the last 30 years by a factor of 6x in creating jobs and reducing Unemployment all within the same timeframes…..

Thank you Mr. President… Great Job!

Mitt Romney 'Legally' Bain Capital CEO Until 2002, Former Partner Says

A former Bain Capital partner acknowledged Sunday that Mitt Romney "legally" remained the head of the private equity firm until 2002, contradicting Romney's claims that he left the company in February 1999.

During an appearance on MSNBC's "Up w/ Chris Hayes," Edward Conard, who worked at the private equity firm during Romney's tenure as CEO, noted that Romney remained "legally" in charge of the company for at least two years after the former governor says he left to take over the Olympic Games in Salt Lake City.

“Mitt’s names were on the documents as the chief executive and sole owner of the company," Conard said. Conard served as managing director of the firm from 1993 to 2007.

Despite Romney's statements that he left in 1999, Conard's new remarks suggest that, in fact, Romney's continued ownership of the firm enabled him to negotiate a better exit deal. "We had to negotiate with Mitt because he was an owner of the firm," Conard said.
The legal transfer of ownership dragged on for three years after Romney's informal departure to run the Olympics in Salt Lake City, Conard said, because Romney was aggressively negotiating his retirement package and compensation with executives and lawyers at the company.

"He'd created a lot of franchise value, and we were going to pay him for that," Conard said, adding: "We had a very complicated set of negotiations that took us about two years for us to unwind. During that time a management committee ran the firm, and we could hardly get Mitt to come back to negotiate the terms of his departure because he was working so hard on the Olympics."

Conard's comments are the latest in a growing pile of evidence that contradicts Romney's repeated claims that he ended his active role at Bain in 1999. On Sunday, The Huffington Post reported on a corporate document filed in December 2002 that lists Romney as a "managing member" of Bain Capital Investors. Earlier reports show Romney listed as CEO on 2002 Securites and Exchange Commission filings, attending board meetings for Bain-affiliated companies after 1999, and receiving an at least $100,000 salary from Bain in 2001 and 2002.

Other than asking for money from the Federal government, what was Mitt working so hard on for the Olympics 16 hours a day? Was he personally icing up the sled pipe or putting flags up on the ski course?

Don't forget, this is the same man that is telling us he doesn't even know where his money is. Have you ever know a millioniar/multi-millioniar? I can assure the extremely rich know where every penny of their money is.

Santorum will be proven to be right. People are beginning to see the same pattern emerge throughout Willards life - he doesn't think the rules apply to him, from bullying at Cranbrook, to impersonating a Michigan State polic officer & effecting pullovers, to cutting a buddy's brake line, to faking his departure from Bain, to lying about his Bain tenure on Federal Election disclosure forms, to demanding an apology from President Obama in feigned outrage - he feels like his wealth & privilege excuse him from having follow the same mores as "regular" folks.

Sadly, he's been so insulated for all of his life, that having to react in the real world on real terms & principles is proving exceeding difficult, if not impossible for Romney. Whether people want to admit it or not, there are some sociopathic tendencies.

The Republican convention might end up very interesting. They are in a REAL pickle.

Bring on the debates and send this Robme guy to Canada...less one dog.....LOL!

Question:

Where were all those loud-mouthed hysterics when George W. Bush was holding hands and kissing the lips of the head of state of Saudi Arabia? Seems his fans didn't see anything wrong with George engaging in the customs of the Saudi Muslims when George was president. No president that I can remember ever kissed a head of state on his lips and walked hand in hand with him. But George did, because it is showed respect to his Muslim BFF. That behavior is customary and polite in Muslim culture. And George obliged.

The rightwingers are having apoplectic fits because Mr. Obama acknowledged a customary greeting in Japan. Mr. Obama did exactly what George W. Bush did, vis-a-vis respecting a local custom.

But rightwingers can't grasp the essential the truth of the matter.

George W. Bush kisses a Muslim leader on the lips and holds his hand, showing deep, loving, and humble respect for a Muslim custom.

*crickets* from the politically correct Right.

Mr. Obama shows respect for a Japanese custom, and the rightwings' heads explode.

Here's what the rightwingers, who are howling over Mr. Obama's show of respect, did not know and did not bother to research. This makes them look like ninnies:

Richard Nixon bowed to Emperor Hirohito--you know, the guy who was the head of Japan when it attacked the US at Pearl Harbor? Nixon BOWED TO HIROHITO when he visited THE UNITED STATES! Dwight Eisenhower BOWED to Charles DeGaulle during a state visit. And George W. Bush BOWED TO POPE BENEDICT, who is a head of state. And finally George W. Bush bowing to a Communist Chinese head of state.

So please, rightwingers, spare us your spittle flecking anger. Get upset over something important, like the millions of Americans without health care, and the thousands of veterans dying for lack of health care.

LMAO!
