You must play the rules. I am the ruler of the universe . Overseer to the dark kingdom. Can you take me on. I don't think so. I live in my keepers mansion in Rostraver which is better than you people from all the other poor areas of the area.
We will no longer have to play by your rules once you are defeated. Only your kingdom is dark. When you are no longer on the board, it will be a brighter kingdom. You're right, you live in your mother's mansion; your keeper. Does it matter if one lives in the poor area or the affluent area of the district? We are all God's children who are residents of this community, taxpayers to this district. By the way, since it's election time you'll probably be attending church.

always thought "slum" was a densely populated usually urban area marked by run down housing and poverty. lived here for 50 years and have never encountered that in any part of this township.
maybe you meant "slime". now that we have. there are vicious and offensive people in this area mainly in public office.

<quoted text>Run down housing? YES! Roads are polluted with litter, YES! General conditions and services warrant the definition of SLUM in my opinion and the SLIME who are elected to prevent this NEVER address these issues. Twenty years ago the Township and BVA area was beginning to decline and it is accelerating. The very reason this area is a slum is because of the slime. Let's stop this decline. Rostraver is going to elect a new commissioner so this is the opportunity to to start the change. Hold the newly elected accountable AND demand accountability from the present government. What are they HIDING in Rostraver? Do you know what I am referring too?
Do not see the run down housing issue; been to Collinsburg, Van Meter, Pricedale, AND Webster. Occasionally one sees a house that warrants repairs but nothing like what I've seen in BV borough, or WT. Drive through Charleroi, Monessen, or Donora and you'll see "run down housing" is far more than in RT. This site is for BVA SCHOOL DISTRICT. Maybe start A NEW SITE JUST FOR RT COMMISIONERS IF THAT IS YOUR ISSUE. We can only do one thing at a time and right now we are focusing on cleaning up the SCHOOL BOARD. Not only for the taxpayers concerns but for the concern of our STUDENTS for they will be the leaders of tomorrow. I have NO idea what the township is hiding? Do you care to inform us so we'll all be aware? If you want us to do something about the commisioners election, then you had better divulge what is being hidden.

<quoted text>All related and quite obvious what is being hidden. Sorry you are in the dark but it's not my responsibility to educate you especially if you been around for 50 years. BTW take your blinders off if you want to see the run down housing in ROT-RAVER. Get a clue and stop spinning to avoid the issue.
Granted it's not your responsibility to educate me and thank goodness since you call yourself "corrupt". My parents paid for my education and I earned my degree However, it was not in BVASD or RT politics.
It was YOU who posted for ALL to read, "What are they hiding in Rostraver? Do you know what I am referring to?"
So, if YOU are going to post a comment, stand behind it and be WILLING to inform those who aren't informed on YOUR particular issue.
Otherwise, don't post such comments. Don't understand IF you do live in RT, why you would if it's a slum area. Move out.
Politics is one thing in RT but the community (the people) are another. By the way, neither do I wear blinders or rose tinted glasses. I see fairly well for my age(which is well beyond 50 years of living in THIS township) but I also see what's in the heart of community.
It's pre-primary election time, stick with the political issues and candidates.

When that rostraver middle principal who will now be assistant to the superintendent ???was basketball coach, he first denied the team stoping to eat following their 1 point loss at Baldwin. Stopping to eat was always on the schedule for away games. I had a nephew on that year's team and jk folmur was so hot under the collar that he denied the boys stopping to eat. That wasn't bad enough he also "mooned" his own players. One of those players is now an assistant college coach and another member of that squad was an outstanding kicker on the football team. Maybe that appointment to the super should be reconsidered by ALL members of the board and leave that high school principal where he is. That would be for his good, the good of the district, but most important the good of THE STUDENTS. If you have to put folmur some place, put him with his students out at the new bva middle school with Grice and his students. That should make for a good transition all round.
Is it true that when they had a meeting in January that the plan was for Grice and Folmar to split the principalship at the new middle school? I had a board member tell me so. What happened? Knowing that kiss a-- folmar, he probably wormed himself into that position. He claims he has his home on the market and hes retiring in a couple of years.
That board member told me thats why folmar was going to the new middle school and then Grice would be sole principal there when folmar retired.
Somethings not right; maybe folmar wants revenge from when he was demoted from the high school to the middle school and Zborovancik became high school principal. What a disgrace from those five board members who went along with that outsider superintendent and appeased folmar. Wish that team he mooned and their parents would speak at a meeting. Now that would be interesting and entertaining.
No surprise

It's no surprise; it happened before. All you have to do is read some of the responses. They are there where someone responded to them but the original has been deleted.

It's the same individual who wrote all that nasty shit a year ago about staying away fro his meetings because he is tired of our stupid questions and ignorant comments. Remember he said we were whining
bozos that we were to just pay our taxes like good little sheep and STFU. And that is him speaking, not me. Oh yes he was going to continue to diminish the onslaught of absurd questioning from the peons who cannot and will not savor his massive intelligence. Begone peasants. Poor thing he said he was being treated with Nexium for acid reflux caused by boobs like us who wish to interfer with his brilliance. He's up for reelection again. Do the residents a favor, vote him OUT. His ego has worn out the welcome mat.

Think this site HAS to be connected with the Valley Independent. Look how they operate. They publish only what they are permitted to publish from a board meeting. The reporter is approached following the meetings and told what to omit.

Had my coffee at the Golden Arches this morning with other retirees and learned that Jesse Cramer's son had an incident on the river road a few weeks ago. Haven't seen anything in the Valley but probably the victim was coerced into not filing charges and the Valley doesn't report everything. That wouldnt be good publicity for Jesse's campaign. Oh well, if he should lose the election, the school district will create ANOTHER position for him. Maybe dean of students. If not full time AD along with his full-time secretary. Hes a winner regardless in more ways than one.

For all of the Belle Vernon community that is concerned about our school and all the changes with reconfiguration and administrative moves, please take a minute and think about this quote from Margaret Mead as the April 22nd school board meeting approaches.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world.
Indeed it is the only thing that ever has.......

We can make change in our school if we attend board meetings and speak for our community. Do not let 9 people do this alone!!!!! See you all on Aprill 22nd.

The objective is to have enough citizens to attend BVA school board meetings regularly so that they are always held at the high school auditorium. The numbers do really matter since the meetings are held on a rotational basis (high school, Bellmar and the embarrassingly small room at the administration building)! It's no secret that the 9 people prefer the tiny Administration room since it shows that not many citizens care about the meetings and the school board can act with little or no opposition. Also, let us bring back the open workshops for both the citizens and the school board together. It is time to move forward on these issues at hand.

The OBJECTIVE is to have residents attend the meetings REGARDLESS of the location. At this time workshops aren't the priority; personnel transfers are. The tyranny of one board member, who at one time was president of the board, has shifted to the superintendent. The board was elected by the PEOPLE and the superintendent is paid by the PEOPLE. The PEOPLE'S concerns and the STUDENTS concerns are to be considered NOT a middle school principal's vendetta and a superintendent's personal matter.

For the past 3 weeks I have had the chance to discuss the reconfiguration and administrative moves with 3 board members since I work in a much frequented Rostraver business. I have been told that the Superintendent needed to keep the high school assistant from leaving the district for a new position. This is the reason he was promoted: to keep him at Belle Vernon since he has been a brown nose to the Superintendent. I guess he is a Wonder Boy and got his way!

If so, that didn't mean Mr. Z had to be transfered. Wonder Boy could have been kept in his same position. If he was looking for a principalship, let him go elswhere. What's so special about him? He comes in a suit and talks technology. The teachers dislike him and he misses alot of school time be it absences or attending workshops, etc. Could hire a new assistant at a much lower salary. Begone,
Wonder Boy!

I stand corrected and not too proud to admit to a grammatical or typo error. My degree is not in either field. Why not comment on facts to inform the taxpayers instead of criticizing their errors. You, as a
board member, certainly have made more than your share of mistakes which affected the taxpayers and students of this district. Of course your ego will not permit you to admit to any mistakes.

Those of you who are in support of Mr.Z being retained at the high school please attend the next board meeting (the 4th Monday of the month) at the high school auditorium . That is if they don't continue to play their dirty politics and change the date/site of the meeting. You needn't speak if you don't want to address the issue just be in attendance. Maybe show your dissatisfaction with board member Michener by not supporting her husband's barber shop in NBV since she voted to transfer Mr.Z.

Numbers do matter at these meetings even if one does not speak. Any school board will be intimidated when it is confronted with a larger number of unionized teachers wearing similar color and sloganized tee shirts. The same can be said if many concerned taxpayers would show up to make their presence known. There is a alot that needs to addressed and known publicly.
