I recently moved back to Mulvane after living in Wichita fir many years. Next door to me is a house where there are multiple junk cars, trash strewn across the front and back lawn, 4 or 5 dogs in the yard, and several crumbling outbulidings. In Wichita, even in the worst areas, this would not be tolerated, but in Mulvane where the streets are swept weekly and the city administrator Hixson passes by this house DAILY, this unsanitary way of living is tolerated. Can someone please explain why I should have to pick up neighbors trash out of my lawn every day, and why the dog feces smell from next door should prevent me from opening my windows, and this is OK in Mulvane? Anyone else hae these problems? I am looking to go on a crusade here, and need help. Thanks.

No it's not okay yet towns like Mulvane seem to turn a blind eye. People wake up.
Derby, KS needs to wake up itself with the gang activity going on along with the recent robbery. Derby is not a top 10 place to live as Family Circle claimed!!!!!!!!!!

First of all everything that you have said is not true. And i will defend everything when it comes to my family. If you have a problem then you need to take it up with us. Other then that this kind of trash talking can get you taken to court. And i wont stand for people trash talking my family.

I happen to know this family personally and some of the things said are very untrue. There are NO junk cars in their yard. Is it against the law now to own a car that is not brand new? There is only one car that does not get driven and it belongs to their oldest son who is in the Army currently getting ready to deploy for the third time, and it sits back by their garage behind a privacy fence that you cant see through. There are several families on this street who own dogs, that do not go out and clean their yards of the feces left behind, so how is it to be assumed that the smell is strictly from this house? The one out building that was falling down was actually removed prior to you moving back in next door. I know this for a fact for I helped take it down and haul it away. Before you attack your neighbors maybe you should actually think of all things in account. Seeings how your family has had something against these people since their children were young, do you not have anything better to do?

I am not looking to start a war.But I remember these same neighbors you are talking about.Mowing your yard when they mowed theirs because you did not come down but once or twice a month to mow.No they did not go inside your fence and mow,but they mowed the front and side yard.Because they did not want you getting a ticket. And furthermore, for years a red Honda sat in your driveway not being moved.I know for a fact that these people have done major clean inside and out. There is one shed and a garage in the back yard. That is not several. Also,if you want to be a good neighbor, try talking to them instead of this. When you moved in people chased your boxes that the wind blew away. But,did they get upset with you. No!They just picked them up and put them in the trash.Don't be so judgemental. There is no need to go on any crusade.

From what I can see on Google's street view your neighbors yard looks ok to me. It isn't pristine but you don't live in Tall Grass or Reflection Ridge either. I've seen worse in Mulvane. My neighbor on Miller has 2 sofa's rotting in his yard with trash strung about and a toilet sitting in the middle of the yard with grass growing out of it. There's lots of garder snakes and rats over there under the sofa's. Be thankful you don't have my neighbor!!! I would suggest putting up a privacy fence like I'm going to do because the city isn't going to do anything about it.

How bout instead of complaining about it on the internet...you mention something to your neighbor....and if that don't work...and If you don't like it...MOVE! What happend to the land of the free...where you could own what you wanted...junk car or not?....if you don't like how your neighbors live...then move to EastBorough!! Where yoru neighbors whine at you because your curtains don't match the "HOME OWNERS ASSOCIATION" rules. There's always something to complain about....lemme just tell you something Mister! LOVE THY NEIGHBOR!!!! You don't know a persons situation until you lived in thier shoes. Maybe they need help cleaning up things...and maybe you could be a good person and be the one to offer that help. You never know until you've walked a mile in someone's shoes! So deal with it....and quit complaining. Atleast you have a roof over your head....there are some people who would kill for your problem buddy...and thats a fact!

just curious, the gang activity that you mentioned, is that just assumption, or is it really gang related?
