I'm guessing they would rather close down rather than give in to demands that would create and foster a better working environment. To do that would cost money and Sitel doesn't like to spend money unless something is absolutely broken. The thing with this company is that there will always be a glut of 18 to 23 year olds that are willing to put up with their nonsense or don't have the common sense to understand that they're being walked over. At Sitel, unionization will never happen, not ever. Sitel has a business model that's dependent on hiring the young and naive.
