... for our local THP troopers about, maybe, 15-20 years ago when one of them was out late one night driving drunk eastbound on 10th Street in his Corvette.

A city cop pulled him over, one or two more joined with him, and then one of them gave him a ride home instead of arresting his azz.

I do sincerely believe what goes around comes back around to smack you upside the head. Alcohol is no respecter of persons -- bad for everyone, including cops.

What's that got to do with the here and now? I saw THP doing a night road check last month and Trooper Christian was there Leadinh them and working nights to protect the people on Tennessee Hwys. That's my kind of leader. Forget what you saw 20 years ago. We had a Sheriff here in Van Buren County who shot himself for the disability payment and another who was running a whore house of underage girls at the jail. Come into this century with the rest of us!
