Obama is running the country like a typical black person. Spending money he aint got. Going into debt just to get what he wants. I don't feel it's my responsibility to pay for another persons college education , unless that person has exceptional grades in High School. For my tax dollars to be spent on someones college education just because they're a minority or athlete ,with below average grade points is goofy. Most white kids either take out loans or their parents pay for college. They can also get a loan,or their parent can pay.
You live in a socialist country,not unlike most countries in Europe. Most people in the USA don't like high taxes , we enjoy spending our income on our families. I used to travel central ,and eastern Canada,and the cost of consumer goods was ridiculously expensive.People would drive long distances to by goods in this country. Canada spends very little money on their military compared to the USA (per population ). If this country does go socialist we will have to drastically cut military spending. If that happens Canada will be forced to increase taxes substancialy
to provide a real military,not the skeleton military they currently provide. Canada currently depends on the USA for protection, as does the socialist countries in Europe. If our military spending is cut, someone else will need to pick up the slack. Welfare from cradle to grave will be a thing of the past and all these people with great educations will be out of work.

I'm not sure of your point about the rims , but I agree with most of your comments,however people that are sick, have been injured at work, or laid off workers do deserve government assistance, because in most cases they have paid into the system. Someone laying around in government housing ,pumping out illegitimate kids should get nothing,but a free sterilization, and the fathers that have never paid child support on those kids should be hanged..--- Does that make me a racists or realist ?

No, you have an interpretation that lacks an understanding of the Canadian philosophy so your theories are a little weak.
When I go back to visit my birth family in NY, who work at occupations similar to my own, my standard of living is not much different at all.It is in the middle of my sibs. I have lived in central and eastern Canada though now, the Gateway to the West. The dollar here has appreciated significantly since the eighties.
Canadians would not see it differently to provide incentives to poor youth when it comes to education as they would to bright children who come from wealthy families - in fact I believe they would resent giving their money to people who have lots already lots. That is philosophical. Education is not purely about great employment though every parent hopes it does improve their child's opportunities. Maybe there aren't as many great professional jobs in this country though mine have managed.
Your military example is really off mark. Canadians greatest fear is that the US politics and position in the world is what would get them bombed. The US is a target that is pretty close to home. In the event of a real war they expect to be annihilated. Not even people with big nuclear weapons can operate after having already having been bombed to hell and back. Lots of countries didn't have much in the way of a military or weapons when they were caught up in a war.
They did get involved in WW11 without worrying about whether the US did. It would be awful for both countries if they did not get along. Canadians are pretty laid back and they are pretty peace loving but they do have breaking points.They are not as reliant as you believe but they aren't expecting you to save them.
By the way, why does everyone assume that a poster is one nationality or another with so many of us moving all over the place. It might have been true in the 1950's but.....

I'm betting you are NOT a racist, but a realist thinker. Realist thinkers in America right now are called out as racists. Anyone,(especially whites) who disagree with illegal immigration or the obviously marxist policies of da Prez Osama BinBama are called racists. It's been said before that blacks cannot be racists because they dont hold enough political power. Perhaps that was before the election of a president (who happens to be black) with a racist wife that hates what America is and what it stands for .

From discussions a few months back I get the impression that they were glad that America came on board but don't see that they did that out of love for Canada. They had already been at it for a few years by then. It was more about what was going on with Japan and the eastern block and how that affected America.
