I think it is the smartest thing they could do. I think you are dumb since everywhere that guns are allowed, crime goes down.

As a former officer (who was at Columbine) I see the value of resposible, trained persons having weapons.
The recent church shootings in CO are the most recent classic example that this is the best way to stop such violence - literally in its tracks!
Even a person off his meds will think twice before knowinly taking on a place where armed resistance is likely.
Good job, Legislature!

You are a country of contradictions. You've walked on the moon. You consider yourself the police of the world, teaching values. You have the worst violent crime rates of all industrialized nations. You (some of you) are still willing to arm every single man, woman and child in "self defence". Your streets are flooded by firearms and in many parts of your caountry and cities you cannot feel safe. Guns on a campus! That is not a "Good job, Legislature". That is a sign of pure desperation, nothing less! It is in itself equal to admitting you are at war against each other. The threshold for using a gun at yours is probably lower than anywhere else in the "civilized" world - as a pure consequence of your gun culture, steming from your needs some 300 years ago, the 2nd Amendment and the lot. Results today are the incredibly brutal use of guns amongst criminals and also often by your police. Your lives and life quality is many places strongly reduced in consequence. You can make no progress in right direction prior having disarmed the public room and no-one else than you yourselves can do that job. It stärts in your brains though, not by allowing arms on campuses.

Do you think it is an impossible thought that someone, like those in the US who evidently comit suicide by police, could find it useful to start killing people on a campus instead of attacking the police, knowing there are more than enough armed people there to get him killed quickly?
