I'm a non drinker but have nothing against it, in moderation. In fact the medical community is finding out that it is actually good to have a glass of wine, beer, or even spirits in the evening.
For Benton county to ban the sale of it does nothing to decrease alcohol abuse and we are missing out on huge revenues that could be used in many productive ways.
I don't understand why we would rather let other counties collect those revenues. It's not like we are going to stop anyone, that wants to, from drinking. In fact you could take that money and invest it in alcohol/drug abuse education.
Thank you,
Brian

I think you need to edit this honey, it is not wine, beer or spirits its just wine that can be healthy and its only red wine... red wine can be good for the heart... as for beer and hard liquor... there is nothing that the medical community says to promote the intake of them... they are just for fun...:)

You, too, sister. According to Dutch researchers, beer showed a 30% increase in Vitamin B6. Drinkers of red wine received only half that increase.

I was doing some research for a paper on this very issue, and I thought I would let you know what I read about BEER....not red wine...although red wine is very good for you in moderation.

Beer is made with hops, which contains xanthohumol. This is the "sticky stuff" in hops, and is now known to be a powerful antioxident. Studies have shown that it helps the body break down bad cholesterol. This antioxident is more powerful than the antioxident vitamin E. Antioxidents are also known for their anti-cancer properties. So drink up....once in a while!

Having a dry county just encourages drink driving.

I like to have beer or booze with my weed and having a dry county just makes me have to drive farther to get my booze with my grand children in the car. It would be great if they would just sell it the booze in county so I would not have to drive so far from the Tiree sub division to get it.

first... grandma is a fool. I agree. I drink it not for healthy reasons. Lets not be absurd. I dont think that argument has had much impact on legalizing marijuana. I like the way it taste and I like the way it makes me feel. I am over 21 and should not have others regulate my access to it.

I agree they should sell Booze in Benton County, after a hard day of watering and taking care of my pot plants I like to have a stiff drink with a bowl of my home grown weed. I do not like having to drive to Missouri to get my booze. I would only have to drive to the grand central station from the Tiree Sub Division if Booze was legal in Benton County. Besides after I smoke a bowl of my home grown and drive to Missouri to get booze I forget why I drove there

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Scorpio

Something that you've always taken for granted or believed implicitly could have a big question mark hanging over it during the next few weeks. The more entrenched your views are about this, the more difficult it will be to accept that perhaps it's time for a change of opinion or, at the very least, a revaluation of what you think. Mercury turns retro in your house of communications, so do your best to be open-minded now.
