trouble with the school system

I was just wondering if there were any parents having trouble getting issues resolved at the school... It seems that if your family isn't in their click then they really could care less what happens to your child at school. And obviously dont take complaints well about the well to do kids there. And can come up with a million and one explinations why that kid is innocent and your kid is in the wrong. and dont take things very serious at all. but i think when a kid is threatening his own life over stupid things being said and obviously the school not caring this is serious stuff!!!

Always remember, Bell City is a state (govt) funded public school. If things aren't getting done at the local level, move up the chain.

not the parent of the kid but know the family really well... and this is some serious stuff and they have taken matters to the next level and lawyers and law officials have been notified.

I have had children in this school for several years now and I am glad that finally someone is trying to stand up. The teachers and school officials do have certain "clicks". If you dont attend every single game or event then you and your children are looked down on. And God forbid you should have a complaint about one of the teachers children, because as we all know they never do anything wrong... they dont hit first, or do any name calling, and why would the push or make fun of someone elses child, teachers children here are nearly perfect, right?

I attended bell city for since elementary and the day i graduated, i was happy to get the hell out of there. bell city went to hell the year coach heeb was hired. We lost some amazing teachers all because he was going to take us to state. My life happen to be a living hell until people started seeing his true colors. If you arnt part of the clicks, you will not be noticed. For instance, taylor eakin got pregnant while i was in school, thankfully for her, it wasnt made into a big deal. IF i would have gotten knocked up by will bogan, it would have been the talk of the town. I dont think its right how this school system works. Its all in who you know and if you play sports or not. In taylors case, who your mother is. I remember taking the map test, and our so-called counsler was giving out the answers left and right. Needless to say, we all did great that year on our map scores. Just wondering if bell city is still cheating at everything they do? The school system is a joke, and i will NEVER send my kids there.

You must have been kicked off the team or just mad because you were not tops at what you thought you were good at. Most everyone knows that DESE sends people to monitor during map tests so you are so there is no cheating. I am sure BC is glad your gone from there. You were probably part of the problem. no, its true, the counselor did. There were no people there monitoring the tests i took in the four years I was at BC. She would walk around giving the answers to anyone who asked politely and batted their eyelashes.

The school is a joke on so many levels! It used to have a good reputation at least, but now it has been run into the ground by idiots that think they are somebody when they are useless! I mean just like having graduation on a Thursday night at 8 in the evening, when parents had to work the next day; talk about stupid. Then the students did not even get their diploma's, they got a piece of paper telling them to pick their diplomas up on the 20th, the last day of school for all students. Now why in the world would you have a graduation, and not get your diploma?? The idiots in charge wanted to continue to have control over the students for another 6 days. Makes no sense at all to me. When a student asked about the reason for not getting their diploma; they were told it was because the school was afraid the kids would get into trouble, and it would look bad on the school. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!! It is a shame that the school has gone so far down the hill. They need to get their act together, and start teaching more, and worry about basketball less. They pride themselves on academics, but these kids find themselves behind the 8 ball when they go to college, and they suddenly find that they are not up to par.
Also, just because some of us do not like the school, does not make us upset, it makes us honest! This site is about speaking your mind, and that is what we are doing. Have a great day!

What happen to your compassion? You was just on another thread telling the "Omen" not to judge people and here you are calling names. What a ugly person you are. I am a parent and Bell City school is a good school. There has been bad decisions made, but that doesn't mean it is a bad school.If you don't like the way the teachers are teaching or the way the place is being ran then go to work there and help them instead of getting on here bashing and calling names.

Yes Bell CITY School is a joke they let thier teachers smoke pot and have affairs and and do nothing about it what a messed up place to have your children . Im sure thier not all bad but alot of them are nuts like the crazy art teacher.

Would you all just stop it okay listen I am a student at bell city I have lived here my whole life...I agree that if you dont play sports and stuff sometimes it just doesn't matter, but you all are missing out on alot of things you all focus on the negative but not the positive you look at what we dont have instead of what we do have can you not realize something The art teacher Mr.Bollinger is his name in case none of you all knew that, but just like talking trash about him listen up he is the best art teacher I have ever had he pushes you yes and undermines your art work maybe but never in all my years have I understood art and how to actually maintain it! The only reason I love to go to school so much is because of those art classes if it wasn't for him teaching art then I wouldn't take any of the classes school would suck...but no none of yall see that he is the best art teacher ever instead you all just take and snoop into his personal life and decide hey you no what im bored with my own life why not destroy someone else's.....Dont you even dare to say anything about me because you no what all of you all are lazy manipulative jerks! I love bell city school yes it has its problems but what you all miss is that bell city is like a home to alot of students theres mistakes theres fights theres bad decisions made but it brings us closer it makes all of us even more prepared for life where as other schools the ones who have it all aren't prepared for life because they haven't been thru all of what we have but at least we've had people there to help us thru it bell city cares a little much about basketball and stuff but there are some teachers there that care just as much maybe even more about academics and dont say they dont because they do Mrs.Spears is an awsome teacher dont let your students tell you that no one helps them because they could just as easily go to mrs.spears for help if any of them needed it with any type of homework she may not exactly no how to do it but she will for sure try and help you theres many times that i've stayed after and recieved help on my homework she makes every student work the way they should only our students make it really hard on her everytime she makes us work but that doesn't stop her thats why she is the best teacher bell city has and the school would be nothing without her so you no what all of you all say whatever you want but let me tell you all something its not just the teachers and all the staff memembers with the problem its more than likely with your students who are making it ruff on all of them just as well and you no what the school is becoming better Mr.Asher has took a stand hes helping as much as he can and doing everything in his power to make bell city better but its never good enough for any of you all you all want more and more and more you cant just ever settle with good you can't just ever give any of them a break nagging all the time yelling causing complaints really now just stop it you all dont go to school every day and see what happens none of you all deal with any of that you might have in the past but your not now you only hear stuff and that makes all of you all guliable for believing everything you hear so I hope all of you all read this and understand it because to be honest I think a kid just out smarted you all and sometimes the best answers come from the kids or the students who see and deal with it every year so take it to heart or laugh at this I dont care either way, but Bell City is a great place despite some of the things that have happened and I love this school and I can't wait for another year to come and by the way dont try and say I play sports because I dont I dont even attend half of the games and I've been picked on some of alot but really Im the one who lets it get to me so thats my problem why believe what people tell you its just words!

I went to bell city too and i loved it....i acutally want to go back to bell city to finish my last year...the teachers and kids are great and they actually care about the kids despite what everybody outside of bell city saids...they even started this year well they gave morning detentions out to kids that had below a c in any class til they brought it back up to a c so you can't tell me that they don't care about the kids bc they do..
