Deer loses head-butt with Wisconsin lawn ornament

Full story: TwinCities.com

A love-struck buck ran out of luck a week ago. The seven-point buck was killed when it rammed a 640-pound concrete statue of an elk in the backyard of Mark and Carol Brye's home in rural Viroqua, Wis.

That's funny. I wondered why he didn't want to set it back up right away, before the season ended.

"I can't tip it back up until I get a whole bunch of guys to help me," he said.

There goes your evidence folks!!

From my observation reading this article it seems the buck died at the hands of
this homeowner someway somehow.

No way a 180lbs buck kills itself and you go ahead and tag and eat road(backyard) kill??? Throw the dead deer away or have it buried.

Charges should be brought up against this family that displayed the concrete deer, clearly symbolic of human dominance over earth's creatures. In addition, a panel of experts should be assembled in an attempt to prevent barbaric acts like this, gnomes, garden frog, and concrete bird feeders should be disallowed.
Although nothing can be done about this deer, a lawsuit should be filed in an attempted to stop the "BIG" concrete deer conglomerate from profiting at the expense of helpless animals. Legislators should also require that all garden/yards ornaments be made of hemp.

I agree, Progressive, especially about the gnomes. Gnomes are dangerous bastards and not to be trusted.

I've seen folks drape their statues with blaze orange to keep them from being shot. This is definitely one of the news of the weird episodes!

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Sagittarius

Watch out. Your mind is working overtime in full analytical mode, but you may be leaping to unfounded conclusions and reading too much into situations. The result of all this is that you might start to suspect someone's honesty or loyalty, and wonder what exactly they're up to. Don't accuse them of anything awful just yet because it may turn out that you were totally wrong about them.
