Property tax burden

I find it disturbing that Daryl Schliem, president of the Bozeman Chamber of Commerce shows excitement that property owners will pay more taxes due to the new Belgrade interchange. To quote, "Schliem said, "Since we don't have that really what will happen is the property tax evaluation will go up and not only helps the county but it will help the school districts that it's in, and the city of Belgrade if there's an overlapping and it's in the city and the county itself." With increased mill levy for the Gallatin college and local schools, the burden of revenue is falling on the property owner. It is getting out of control. We need politicians who do not seem happy that we have to pay more taxes and actually attempt to find ways to make revenue collection more fair.
