It's disappointing to see the Saukville administrators making the types of decisions they're making. Allowing the trees to be bull dozed under at the intersections of Highway 43 and Highway 33 is a shame. It seems Saukville will do anything for a buck and I fear they will allow WalMart to build a new building and expand. My family is from Oshkosh where they allowed the WalMart to abandon their old building to build a new super center. The old building has remained empty for over 5 years. The small mini-mall that was built around the old WalMart is suffering as this blighted, abandoned building stands empty. Please Saukville - don't approve a new building. Keep the open space, require new development to keep green spaces and trees - don't sacrifice quality of life for the all-mighty dollar. Find another way to pay for city expenses.

Its up to Saukville. They could make Wal-Mart look really nice and upscale. Un-like Target WAl-Mart can pretty much do any thing with its exterior. Wal-Mart is one of the most greenist companies in the world. I think they'll landscape pretty nice and it will look a lot better and will be more practical than an empty field with a few trees

how in the hell do you figure wal-mart is one of the greenist companies in the world when 99.9% of what they sell is made in a country that does not have any pollution control

First of all, the super Wal-Mart will not be built until a tenant has been found for the current building as the village board has requested. Second of all, going to a super center in West Bend or Sheboygan is a hardship for some people, especially those that have to take the cab to get their shopping done. A super center will bring more jobs and have a bigger tax base for the village. Every new development has their drawbacks and this one is no different.

Yes, Bring a Super Wal Mart to Ozaukee County. This county is becoming to STUCK UP and SNOBBISH. I'm disabled and I can't even find adequate housing to meet my disabilities. I feel that there should even be a Dollar Tree in this county. It is a shame that people especially the elderly and disabled have to go to Washington County or other counties to find shopping needs, better transportation needs, and housing needs. Shame on You Ozaukee County. I was born and raised in this county. I use to have pride in this county.

This is ridiculous! Why do we need a super walmart when there are plenty of grocery stores and businesses all around. I disagree and do not want to see businesses like Piggly Wiggly go out of business.
