Due to the thread that has complaints in it about the steak house why don't we try to put on a list what would make it better verses just complaining about service, food, prices.
Please keep only comments that would help improve it not anything else. Thanks.
Category's are for example.. The food,The staff,The building inside and out. Lets give them some real ideas.

1.First up is the Steaks. They should be more tenderized not just special for someone that drops a name to get a better steak. Maybe a better quailty of beet might help.

2.I noticed on the hot bar that the steak and gravy is mostly cold.

3.Hot bar-The carrots are not cooked done enough. Sometimes you get sweet and moist but mostly get get hard and tastes like it came out of the car 5 minutes ago.

3.HotBar-Pinto beans have tasted sour more than once.Even at times a vinagar taste and not in a good way.

4.Out side eating area is not kept clean and by the front door all the cigarette butts. The entrance of the building should be redid to make a better presanation.

5.Tables need to be fixed verses putting a napkin under the legs to level them.

6.Staff should have matching uniforms.

Please keep adding in order what is your thoughts that would make it a better place to eat.

What a good way to use this crazy website. Hopefully the owners are made aware of this site because in the end they will have to make the decisions.

I did hear that there were kids hanging out possibly selling drugs out in the open so that might be good to not turn your back on thay

This is supposed to be a positive and informative forum. Is this someone from the "family" like in the other post? Be nice and take constructive criticism. But to the person who said it should be free -do you eat free at home? No? You go the store and buy what you need so that isn't a smart comment.

its supose to be a steak house
but theres never any steak on the hot bar
its only beans potatoes and crout
who wants that
you can eat that at home
put a steak on the hot bar and sell the bigger ones
and the salad bar
who charges to get a salad when you buy a steak ?
only the steak house
you go to ponderosa and get a steak for 1099
you get free hot bar and free salad bar
so why try and get more for yours
when its not that good anyway
starters makes a great burbon steak
and they are just a lil bar and grill

I would love to see any of those places come here just for some variety! BUT if you dont keep good managment and workers they wont succeed either.

As far as the steak house goes, Ive read but never posted on the old forum and I hate to bash them because its just my opinion but we NEVER go there anymore. Its not the prices cause I dont even know what they are charging these days and I dont care to pay the price for a GOOD meal. Im not trying to be mean, I would love to start going there again! But its just never any good. When it first opened it seemed to be great! A LOT of people I know have gotten sick after eating there too. I like the bar as is if the food tasted good, if I want a steak I can order it and the bar makes it good for people who dont like or is not in the mood for steak. If you have a big family it gives different options for everyone. They just really need to do MUCH better with ALL of the food.

Maybe they need to go and take one of the restraunt management class's to better learn what would be the best food, prices, management that is needed. Its ok to say hey lets buy and run a restraunt but if you are not up to par then go and learn whats best.

Haven't been to the steakhouse in a while 'cause the last time I was there, I noticed they had stepped up their service, but are still trying to cut corners on the quality. For example, the batter used for the deep fried mushrooms now is awful compared to the one that was used before it was changed. I don't think they need uniforms 'cause that doesn't have anything to do with the service, which is already and always has been very good, or the quality, or lack there of, where the food is concerned. Thank you for listening.

Hire some Mexicans....at least they will cook your food fresh rather than pour a bunch of processed who knows what in a pan and call it a food bar. Some actual green lettuce would be nice on the salad bar. But wait wouldn't all that cut into the mercedes / caddy fund?
I sound mean right? But if you go to a place and spend $50 to eat one meal shouldnt that meal be great or at the least good?

The steakhouse USE to be mine and my family's favorite place to eat. But not anymore. It doesnt matter how you order your steak (well, medium, etc.) there always cooked the exact same, and very thin. To be honest I would rather drive all the way to Pikeville and eat and be satisfied and get my moneys worth than to drive 5 minutes to the steakhouse. I dont think you can be the staff I do have to say that. I think the Hannah's are very frindly and the waitresses. But as far as the food and prices I think alot needs to change.

Our family does eat there, the service is great. The problem we have when we go there is there is just not enought seating, they need to open up some of the party rooms when not being used for a party. No one in my family smokes and if you go up there and the front is to crowded then you have to sit in the back with the smokers and for our family that is horrible. We do not eat there as often as we use to due to this reason.
