I am tired of you people saying that there was not a bomb threat!! I go to Saranac High School. I was there eating lunch when they made us leave the building because they thought there was a real bomb in the school!!! I know everyone in band is saying it was a "joke" or just some "trash" but even if it was just a joke the teachers have to take it seirouly. What if it was real? What would have happend if someone got killed because the teacher thought it was a joke? Don't you people see why you can't joke around about bombs?!?!? I realize that Rex and Vanessa are good kids and that they were joking but they still need to be punished because joking around about bombs is very seirous.

i graduated from saranac, and i can actually spell. however, saranac is a pathetic school system. they do not have the proper classes, and as everyone can see by what has happened, they have no sense of how to discipline the students there. it is a dying school district and rightfully so. i would NEVER send my kids to that school!

wow. you definitely graduated from saranac. unfortunately, you will (and especially those two) will never hit the real world and have a real job, mostly due to you all thinking stuff like this is no big deal. however, if you did hit the real world, there are no such thing as "jokes" or "harmless intentions" out there. there are actions and consequences for those actions. i know saranac DOES NOT prepare students for the real world so i'm giving you a clue.

he is an idiot? why? is it because he does what is expected of a teacher in a normal school system? unlike most of the teachers there who don't give a $h!t about any of their students. not a good director? ok. who cares?!?! at least he was responsible. saranac has always sucked at band and sports and education...maybe it has something to do with the lack of discipline in the school system. huh....similar to the current situation of not disciplining these idiots

You hit the nail on the head. They made you leave lunch because they THOUGHT there was a real bomb. Please explain to me how an empty PowerAid Bottle with a broken cell phone taped to it is even close to be considered to be a bomb? The band director is a darelict. I could understand a treat if is was contained so as not to be visible and a treat of some sort of communication was recieved, but this was not the case at hand. Please also explain to me why this band director is not returning to teach this fall?? Maybe TV-8 could do a new in depth investigation on that and let us start a new topic thread.......could be a shocking story that you all would be interested in.

FYI, both kids didn't get squat for a punishment from the judge, just some small fines is all to pay for the paperwork. This is a good judgement for a story from TV-8 that was blown out of proportion.

That is correct, the judge understood the situation and minor fines were all. I understand the teacher has resigned, does anyone know this is true?
