Until you have walked in her shoes, you cannot judge her. I am sure she did not intentionally marry a loser. She married someone she thought loved her and would help her have a happy marriage. Then circumstances changed and she has 4 kids to raise alone. Unfortunately these scenarios happen often. It happened to me with the exception I had only been with the guy long enough to have one child before he showed his true colors. I needed help and am grateful it was there for me and my child. As far as her being worldly enough to know better? Not necessarily, just because you were raised to know, does not mean everyone is raised that way. Even in 2008 you would be surprised at how many children are raised in the dark about the evils of others and how to cope with issues. Many do it to protect their children without realizing that they then put them out into a world they are unprepared for.

You never heard anything more on the story either did you? The man is probably free. There's a certain part of the law most people dont understand. Legally if you can prove you were brought up in a country who's laws are different than ours and you didnt know there was a problem, the courts have no choice other than to let you go.
