I grew up down the street from there and attended school there. I still remember my parents telling me to be careful of strangers when I was a little kid because of this incident. I really hope that someone comes forward with with the tiniest shred of evidence to shed some light here.

I have always wished they would have found her for the family's sake. I remeber this like it was yesterday and it was front page news. We were around the same age so it really hit home. Kent County Sheriffs really bungled this case up bad. I just hope that someay this family will get the closure they deserve.

WOOD TV 8.....YOUR A JOKE!!! GET THE STORY STRAIGHT!!! QUIT LISTENING TO PERSONS WHO DON'T HAVE A CLUE AND....DIDN'T EVEN LIVE HERE WHEN DEANIE DISAPPEARED. THESE SO CALLED CONCERNED CITIZENS ARE TRYING TO CONFORM THE STORY TO FIT WHAT THEY BELIEVE. DO YOUR HOMEWORK. FOLLOW ME.... TONY SCHAFFER IS A FRIEND.. OF THE PEOPLE.. WHO CALLED KENT COUNTY ABOUT DIGGING ON HER PROPERTY. IT'S GREAT TO KEEP DEANIE IN THE NEWS. BUT, PLEASE GIVE HER A LITTLE DIGNITY AND GET IT RIGHT. QUIT WASTING YOUR TIME WITH PEOPLE THAT LONG TO BE IN THE SPOTLIGHT.(15 MINUTES OF FAME). NOT TO MENTION... THESE IDIOTS THAT ARE TALKING ARE QUITE POSSIBLY JEOPARDIZING THE INVESTIGATION. TO ANYONE READING THIS, PLEASE... IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING AT ALL ABOUT DEANIE'S DISAPPEARANCE CALL SILENT OBSERVER OR THE KENT COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPT. DEANIE.....WE WILL NEVER STOP LOOKING FOR YOU. HI MY SISTER!!!

I wasn't there, but lived close to the Forest Hills area-remember it like it was yesterday. She was a beautiful young girl who just disappeared. My heart still aches for her family.

Please come forward if you can remember anything or know anything about her disappearance. This family needs closure.

After all these years I think any and all leads are a good thing when it comes to bringing closure to Deanie's case and bringing justice to the family. I'm just happy that a Cold Case Team is finally taking this case over and looking at it with a fresh pair of eyes and going back to the middle school where it took place. I myself can only hope that the Metro Cold Case team will exhaust all leads and hopefully Deanie's friends and family will have the answers they deserve.

HHMMMMMMMMMMMM, the way the police department dealt with this murder makes it look like it was an inside job. Maybe they ought to start with who was in the police department at the time, and also could of been at Forest Hills Central Middle School. Shame on that police department.

Take a look back, and the KCSD bungled a lot of cases in those years. This one, Robert Fryling, seems like there was one other high profile one as well. Obviously, the sheriff didn't have a clue back in those days.

Hopefully you have spoken with the cold case team. If not please do so as soon as possible. It might jog your memory. Please have your brother speak with them also. I know it helped me remember more than I thought I would.

If Deanie is dead, her spirit is calling out for someone to find her remains. Just like Laci Peterson when she was finally found. This family deserves closure after all these years.

She is calling out. Does anybody know where that marine camp is? I would love to see this place. Maybe the right person that goes there might pick up a vibe or something. They have been digging there for years. What info do they have about this place I wonder.Anybody know? Hi Krystin, Are you the same person from the area? This could be a good year for Deanie

Hey if anybody want's to get all of our heads together and try to get some new clues. We could meet up somewhere and start a team. I live near the area and would give my extra time to help. I have been keeping track for a couple of years. Thank's

I remember this case very well. None of us that have lived in Forest Hills have ever forgotten her. Her case never got the coverage of Mimi B-who's sad story they keep dragging up again and again. I feel badly for the Peters family who deserve the coverage to help solve the case. I feel bad for Mrs. Bernards family who should be able to put the tragedy behind them and not have to put up with a made for TV Discovery channel move. Shame on the family who took 100 dollars in order to RECREATE that horrible event. Shame on the Police detective for agreeing to recreate the crime for his 15 minutes of fame!

Wouldn't all these resources be better targeted to solve a case that has haunted this community for years?

It seams like wherever I go I am connected with Deanie. I am in different homes all the time. And she is brought up alot. I have been paying attention for awhile now and so has everybody else. Is there any real clues out there. They are in lowell alot. People out there are trying to help and I see it daily around me. So don't give up trying. She will give somebody that clue that will find her. God Bless The Helper
