The UAW US being sued by Fiat because they haven't sold their 40%. The UAW is double dipping and profiting by "managing the VEBA". The UAW executives have been skimming off UAW funds for years and now they have a new "candy store" and they don't want to give it up. Bunch of corrupt bullies.

FINALLy...someone making sense out of this so called merger that will be so much different now because.....well I am not sure what so different. I wa laid off back in 2001 after Daimler merged.....but Fiat is soooooooo much better than Daimler.....no consolodation of opertions, no layoffs, just happy happy....the only difference with this one is the union has a vested interest to merge as well...they will try to sell the membership of course.

I would love to believe you are right but I think Sergio will do the same thing Daimler did, its human nature. He was given a golden goose and there is no doubt this man has a tremendous business sense and I believe he will be faithful to where his roots lie and if you think differently I am ok with that but just think about what is important to you as far as family, friends, and territory; what would you do to protect it???

People do not run companies to destroy them. They run companies to grow them and make money at the same time. Now saying that, if he wants to grow and make money he needs to cut wastes and avoid high taxes. This is where the root of the problem is. You will most likely take a pay cut and jobs will continue to go overseas and the union will continue to do noting about it as they have shown to do nothing in the past. When there is no representation in the local level and non at the international level I think it's time to keep my dues. You might have to get your hands a little dirty soon.

Aw, you got me there with that intelligent comeback. Facts are facts. If you don't like jobs going overseas maybe you should stop electing people that want to continue raising taxes. We do have one of the highest corporate tax rates in the world. I know the Union talking points "f$$k big business and corporate greed" "let them rote in hell" only problem is they are the ones that hire you dumbassess. If they sink so do you. They move to where it is profitable. You dumbassess think you can lock them in a box and repeatedly rape them. Kind of like Obama tax, tax, tax. In Maryland they are now going to tax rain. I know your first response is "that is BS" look it up. Maybe soon there will be a Federal tax on rain if all goes well there.

You know not shit, grasshopper. Let me explain slowly so might catch a clue. The UAW would like very much to sell their portion of Chrysler to Tony Fiat...but at a FAIR PRICE! Sergio has fought the issuance of stock because that would allow for a public offering to determine what is fair market value. Sergio wants to pay pennies on the dollar, NOT fair market value, and thinks he has the UAW on the ropes because they are covering medical VEBA dues with their cash reserves (so much for "skimming" funds, you idiot) and need to sell their portion of the company soon. I say keep 40% of the company, or sell it to Kerkorian instead for more money. Sergio is already blinking is he's attempting to sue over this. He has no case and looks stupid even trying.
