Jones' latest off says "100% reimbursment" and "100% MSRP" and other hints of an offer that leads one to believe you will get 100% of what you paid for your new car if you trade it in on another car.. under the premise that they just need your car so much... such high demand! What BS! The fine print says "up to 100% of the Kelly Blue Book" and up to 45¢ knocked off your value per mile on the odometer. Kind of deceptive marketing practices I think.

I'm surprised to read these comments about Jones Junction. I know they are a huge dealer with many franchises, but I recently bought a new Toyota Camry during that same promotion and was dealt with very fairly with my trade value. I was helped by a young salesman, Matt Filling, who was very easy to deal with and I felt I was treated with respect and I feel I got a very good deal.

I purchased a Chryler Concorde from Jones Junction in 7/2005 and I was very pleased with the sales person , and I did not get the run around at all. But , I did go to Jones on this past saturday and I was very displeased. I was trying to trade my Concorde in for a truck.Of I know that there will be some negative equity. I test drove a truck and did the application. Remind you the same things is on my credit from when I purchased my car. I was blown off by the Finance person. He did not even want to come out and see me.He told me a down payment of 2500.00 and thats it. He did not want to work the deal at all. He gave no suggestions on how to find a truck there with rebates to eat up the negative equity. My sales person felt so bad because he saw the look on my face. I already have a vehicle, so it is not the end of the world, but the finance person there was basicly looking at me as if he did not have time to even talk to me on how he came to his decision. He was ready to get rid of me. I even had a friend of mines that was looking for a car aswell and she was turned off as well. She is not giving Jones Junction her business. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.

I recently purchased a used truck from BelAir Jones Junction. HUGE MISTAKE! I paid cash up front. The truck was advertised as a Certified Pre-Owned but when I took it for a ride I found soft brakes, a chipped windshield and over 60 miles/hour I had to wrestle with the steering to keep the truck on the lane. CERTIFIED???? Hmmm... Anyway the salesman assured me that everything will be fixed and the windshield replaced. He also assured me that the truck has a clean history so I have nothing to worry about, that was when I asked for the Car Fax Report. His manager, Tim Carter brought up the fact that Jones Junction is in business for over 90 years and the truck is OK. Well, I was stupid enough to trust a salesman and a used vehicle manager from Jones Junction! After I payed the truck I left it there for repairs. Shouldn't Certified Pre-Owned mean that is inspected and mechanically in perfect order? Anyway, I went home and got a bit suspicious when the truck was not ready the next day and needed to be kept for another 2 days in shop. So I looked for the Car Fax Report and guess what: the truck has had a serious FRONT CRASH ACCIDENT with another vehicle, was sold at a auction as a FLEET VEHICLE and from Sept. 2003 till Sept. 2007 was driven only 16,000 miles and no records about service or anything else whatsoever. True or false? I was called to go and pick up the truck and I noticed the chip in the windshield has been fixed instead of replacing the whole windshield and the paint miraculously lost its shine and was completely faded.
I asked for a refund of my money, naturally, but the answer came: No, you paid for it. You bought it, it's yours. But if you want to trade it in and buy another one....
Would I recommend Jones Junction? NO NO NO! Just stay away from it. It's bad for your health and for your financial situation. I still don't have the truck or got my money back.

Been there, done that. I own a Nissan frontier and a Toyota Sequoia. I didn't but either at Jones. I saved $2000.00 on each deal at other dealers. I bought the exact Toyota at Edgewood and saved $2000.00 and the Nissan at Len Stoler and saved the same, even with a negative balance on my trade. I will never service my vehicles at Jones as well . My final vist there with my Toyota, I was overcharged $345.00.

How the hell they are still in business? I called yesterday the general manager Bryan Kilby and he told me there is nothing he can do I have to go and pick up the car but there are some storage fees that I have to pay. Shit! Now I can not even take my car back. What the hell can I do?

isn't this funny? it's been almost a month and nothing happened. jonesjunction has my money and my truck. on top of everything I am supposed to pay storage fees!! there is no way to talk to them and to get to a common agreement. they know the truck is a piece of garbage and they don't want to get stuck with it. I can not think at another reason to behave in such a way. now I am going to file a lawsuit against the dealership to be able to get my money back. the funny thing is that I am going to loose 3-4000$ the attorneys fees and of course for the duration of the trial, 2-5 months I have no car and have to rent one.

I've bought 2 vehicles at Jones Junction in the last few years, one new and one used. They are the best Nissan dealership in the Mid-Atlantic Region. They will beat any other dealerships price, nobody else can compete with them. And the service department is state of the art. The service manager, Geoff, goes out of his way to get things covered by warranty. I have only encountered polite, genuine people at Jones Junction. Including the General Manager Bryan Kilby. He and Larry Jones have given back a lot to the community over the many years the dealership has been open. Everyone there treats me like family. I don't think they became #1 by mistreating thier customers and selling junk cars.

Dear No-No-No,

Want your vehicle back without storage fees and fixed to Certified Pre-Owned??? And, without spending another dime at this rip-off dealer??? I have the answer for you! Got some balls? But, want action?

Get yourself a 3 foot by 2 foot piece of cardboard. Paint it all white. Then, paint "I bought a lemon, and you can have one too!" with an arrow pointing to Jones Junction. Now, hop in a vehicle, and mosey on down to the dealership. Park legally somewhere else. Go tot he dealership on foot. Stay on public property in front of the dealership, or across the street. Stand in front of the dealership either way. Wave to the cars traveling by. I BET WITHIN A AN HOUR OR TWO, THE DEALERSHIP MANAGEMENT SHALL HONOR ALL OF YOUR REQUESTS!!! Oh yeah, the dealership shall call the police and state you are doing some crazy thing in front of their dealership ... don't worry! The police shall arrive. Kindly explain to the police that you are picketing the dealership due to the way you have been treated and plan on doing it peacefully even though they may get calls to the contrary. The police will understand and tell the dealership that there is nothing they can do. They shall also advise you to be sure to stay on public property. Oh, by the way, any property in front of the telephone poles to the roadway is public property ... don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

They shall fix your car within reason, because they have salesman in there selling to customers. How many customers do you think shall walk through the door with you outfront??? Trust me, you shall be glad you took this step! You shall have a renewed vigor in our rights under the law!

BTW, taking them to court is a waste of time and money. It's a crapshoot! And some of these dealeras have lunch with the judges or belong to the same country club. So, even if your right, you lose! The best thing you can do is get even! You even up the odds, when you hurt their business! Money talks, this plan shall get you action! If it doesn't work the first day, keep repeating every day until it does! It's like sh*tting where they eat!

I agree. picket them, that may cause some action on your behalf. How ignorant or them not to correct this problem for you. I have purchased cars from them in the past, never again.

thank you "get real" and "jones" for your support. it's something that I did think to do but unfortunately I didn't have the time. it might sound stupid but I have to work like an idiot in order to pay for the car now. I used almost all my savings to pay for the car and also used one of my credit cards. that's why I am trying this method, the internet. I know the trial is a waste of money and time but at least I will get them in front of the court. what will happen? don't know. but I am hoping the judge will see that is a case of fraud. also I filed complaints with the general attorney's office and MVA and I am hoping that will fire back at them. it's a clear case of fraud and I fall right into it based on the concept that BelAir Nissan Subaru Inc. it's not like the dealership from the corner of the street that buy it's cars from the car actions, wash them and wax them and offer them for sale as "CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED". but I guess I was wrong, the greed for money is too powerful. so "jones juntion fan" probably you are the happy customer that had no problems with BelAir Nissan Subaru Inc. or you might not no that you have a problem in your hands. but you are calling me a lier. there is nothing that can go wrong with a new car so probably when they sell a new car everybody is happy. the problem appears when they are selling a defective product as "the best product your money can buy".

Picket at your convenience not theirs! Show up for an hour or two, more people shall see you and you still can take them to court. A few hours on their busy day of Saturday and sporatically throughout the week shall put them on edge to settle! Remember, they cannot afford to lose the business which shall not drive on the lot! Oh, when you leave each day, conveniently drive your staked sign into the ground and walk away. You may have to make a new one, but they are cheap. Court is always an option, and you might win! But, I believe you as everyone else should since we all know it happens! People are too fricken greedy! Then they sit around the Christmas tree during the Holidays as if they are saints! They screw their fellow man throughout the year! Society is full of some sick-arse people! Picket at your convenience and hold your head high! Trust me, you shall get attention. You will actually feel good after the initial embarassment fades. Trust me. Oh, by the way, do not block traffic, police hate this. Tell them to pull over if they want to stop and talk to you> People go care, and the man upstairs is behind you! Know this, because you are right!

thanks for your moral support! I have now the support of the MVA agents but imagine, they called the dealership and told them to resolve the problem and call me back but the dealership even at this point didn't call me. and I know, they are trying to ignore me hoping that I will stay aside and do nothing, because after a while they can declare the car abandoned on their lot and take it back and sell it again. so whoever see this blog and consider buying from them a used vehicle, think about it twice. you have to be very careful about what you see and what you get. even so, good luck! hope you can enjoy the fruits of your labor, enjoy something that you worked and saved your money for. there is a chance that you may not, it's happening to me.

You should call the MVA back and let them know they have not contacted you. Also, like that other person said, call the State Police. The State Police run the vehicle Inspection Program and would be quite interested in knowing Jones Junction is selling Used Vehicles that have been in wrecks and maybe should have never been repaired. The State Police shall inquire pretty readily, I think. You should also call the manufacturer of the vehicle and let them know what this Local dealer has done. They usually have a centralized call center which takes in such disputes and shall farm them out to each regional representative. The representative shall inquire at the dealer what has transpired and also probably contact you also. If they find such gross inactivity, they may force them to make it right. Manufacturers do not like dealers doing underhanded things like this.

Picketing them sounds like a real good idea. I saw a guy picketing a dealer once and management was trying to make it right with him. Dealers do not like negative publicity especially in this slow market!

unfortunately the police is not investigating this type of complaints. it's strange because it's a case of fraud (!?) but the MVA will investigate the case as well as Better Business Bureau and the AG office. one piece of advice for every potential buyer out there, check first with the Better Business Bureau to see who you are dealing with, if there are any complaints against or they are conducting their business in an honest way. guess what: jones junction is not accredited by BBB and they have several complaints on their file. wonder why? all I know is they have a new one right now they will have to deal with.

hello again! unfortunately my situation didn't improve so.... anyway, a good advice when you are dealing with car dealers, never that is NEVER trust them. it's "normal" that you will get screwed. that's their business and you have the money they want and they will do anything to get it. so be aware if you don't want to regret after.

We went shopping deciding between a Camry or a Chrysler at Jones a few months back and had horrible dealings with Matt Filling. I actually called and spoke with a manager to complain about our under-handed dealings with him and their body shop to boot. My husband was in an accident that resulted in his car being totalled. We had it towed to Jones for an insurance appraisal. The vehicle was released by us to the insurance company, but Jones held the car for several days after the release to get more money for holding the vehicle on their lot. When I complained, I was told not to worry b/c they were not out-of-pocket charges for me, that my insurance company would cover those charges. While this was occuring, Matt was helping us with our replacement car purchase. We had a three month old with us and we told him we needed a new car immediately and without a hassle. He lied to us telling us to come in and sign the papers as he had the car in stock that we wanted even though it was at another dealership, unavailable for trade. I would later find out that Jones' offer would be $1,000 more than the dealership we ended up purchasing our Chrysler from. Matt didn't even have much sales work to do as I was the one that told him were the car was that I wanted and that if he could get it, we would buy it from Jones. We ended up getting the vehicle from Heritage, with the smoothest vehicle purchase ever (this is our 5th car purchase). I will never deal with Jones again and Heritage has earned a customer for life.

Their prices are horrible- I saved $1,000 by purchasing my Chrysler through Heritage after dealing with under-handed practices from their sales and body shop staff. They are by far the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. If you want to get reamed by fraudulent liars, buy Jones Junction!

that's true! if you want to be lied to go to Jones Junction. they know there is plenty fish in the sea, or as they like to say "there is an idiot borne every second". it's a really good business ideology. and to think that I took for granted when they told me they have been in business for over 90 years...
I test drive trucks from different other dealers and I stumble upon some really crappy cars. while I was driving a F150, a break line exploded so I had to return at the dealership for almost 2 miles with no brakes. so I said to myself that a big dealership like Jones Junction simply wouldn't be so desperate to sell a car with any price. but again, I was wrong.

Someone dear to your heart isn't exactly a barrel of laughs today, are they? Is it your imagination or are they taking a perverse delight in spreading doom and gloom in all directions? If they've got good reason to be miserable then they deserve your sympathy, but even so it may not last for long. Try to keep active and cheerful, otherwise you'll also develop a tendency to brood.
