Dunno where some of these people are getting their information. The oil field is booming down here and the house prices are VERY high. I live at capeheart right now, and my rent just went up to 1025 a month. Now, granted it's a three bedroom townhouse, even the 1 bedroom apartments are very steep!

Good luck.

The money is good seeing as you can bring home 1500 every two weeks provided you get the hours. Typically it's 18 hour days, no per diem, "on call" 24/7 (no pay), and the guaranteed every other weekend off means you might get one day out of that weekend off. You have a weekly salary at around 630 a week and your overtime is based on a formula that makes your total earnings basically minimum wage. That's right overtime will range from 3.50 to 4.50 an hour. Oh and the bosses have been known to physically abuse employees, im talking about using tasers and whips just for "fun" Ask some people that have been there since last summer working as hands. I'm not really disgruntled but I do want people to know what they're getting into.

cost of living here isn't high.. That offer is a good offer.. Average yearly income in beeville would be starting minimal around $25k -$40k.. Its a smart move, also a good place to raise your children, if you have any..

it is a good place to raise children.. Crime rate isn't soo bad.. Typically burglars, shoplifting, assaults Whn family's and friends get together on holidays.. Seriously thought overall not that bad.. Just wish there were more things to do around here. Especially for the kiddos..

Yep. I wish I was not making this up. The older brother we'll call him "N",who is the district manager was notorious for unwanted horseplay. Hitting in the testicles, wrestling (to one point a guys foot got broken because of it), trying to run down people with his truck, waving an amount of money in the air telling employees to tackle another specific employee and they'll get said money.

There were two (supervisor) who did call the corporate office to let them know. Corporate swept it under the rug and they were sent to Dilley, tx (middle of nowhere) for a month or do to " teach em a lesson and make em quit" as both the brothers "N" and "A" put it.

I saw this day in and day out and had it happen to me. I didn't say anything before I left because I have a family to support.

Yup. And that was just stuff that happened during the 7 am morning meetings. Im sure more went on in the field and at other times. He actually hit a guy, who was not all there, in the eyeball with his whip. He was ok but it could have been much much worse. The guy was also related to the brothers somehow, cousin I think.
