Will someone please tell me 3 things that Don has done well. Without mentioning any of the other candidates, what has he done to prove he is a qualified candidate.

"I would never vote for Don. This guy is a total fake. He has one son that is out spoken gay and claims to be a member of a Crete Lutheran church in which it is against their doctrine to support gay rights. In order to be a member you must confirm your faith saying you believe everything they believe. So in that case which is it Don. Do you belief the church you swore under God to or to u support your fond sinful lifestyle? That right there shows he can be a fake."

Stop it! He loves his son. His son's lifestyle is off limits and really none of your business. Would it please you if he did a public stoning?

"wow! so now we are attacking dons family, why dont you look at the mayor for the same sins, he cheats and lies and his wife is a drunk. so now what?"

Stop it! He loves his wife. Would it please you do do a public stoning?

Keep things professional. Focus on the issues. What qualifies or disqualifies them from office? That should be your only concern! The rest of it destroys lives and defames character. Shame on you both!

I have been a Crete resident for a while and I must say, nothing has changed in this town for many years. Quite honestly, I'll probably be relocating myself in the next years if this town doesn't bring back the vibe it once had. Sorry Einhorn, but your politics have gone stale. In my opinion, the time for change is now.

Yep, that my REAL NAME.

Sam, I have one question for you. What's does my nephew Chase's sexual orientation have to do with Don Seehausen's qualifications to run this village? Really. Please enlighten us all.

If you know anything about the Lutheran Church that Don and his family attend, then you also know that each confirmant makes his owm vow of faith and that Don and Chase stand before their God independent of each other.

But again, tell me and the other citizens what this has to do with running the Village of Crete?

I will stop throwing the hurtful truths about the current mayor, when the mayor mike minions stop their personal attacks on the candidates especially since they have targeted don seehausen. Every time they step up with their attacks i will pull the vicious truth from the closet from where the mayor keeps his skeleton. i just want to keep the scales at balance. you can vote for who you want i realy dont care. I just say how long do we let the same guy run the show without letting someone else try. I am no longer comfortable with mike einhorn and the way he runs things.

Just when I thought I had seen it all, first good for you Dan Taylor for loving your family. SAM, shame on you!! You throw out this garbage and use religion to try and make a point... the bible I was taught from taught me not to judge others and to love my neighbor.Chase Seehausen you keep being who you are, because again the bible I was taught from assured me that GOD loves all!!! As I do not agree with Mayor Einhorns life style, again God loves all, I have no right to judge him. The only person I see getting hurt here is his wife.
I also feel change is needed, so just stop it people, start focusing on what will be best for us as a community. Personally I think we need to start from scratch, fresh eyes are the best eyes!!!!

Also, I don't see what his son has to do with anything. Again, I am more concerned about Don's views-- which are crazy. Leave his son out of it.

dang, can you be more specific? What does it mean, in your own words, to be a right-winged? Is it faith based, conservative, what? I really am searching for truth.

If Don cannot be a good moral compas in his own home, how can he be a good moral compas for Crete? Of he would lead his son down a path toward eternal damnation, where will he lead Crete?

Faith based has nothing to do with it. I know plenty of faith based liberals and faith based independents too. The problem is he is a tea bagging wacko who thinks that compromise is a dirty word- the same mentality that these idiots in Washington DC have followed, thus throwing us into gridlock. He is no better than that wacko a-hole in Monee Jay Farquar, or that wacko a-hole Judy Ogalla who managed to help destroy the Peotone schools. These three will launch whatever bizarre dirty attack they can, then say boo-hoo when they perceive the slightest insult. They are hypocrites, worthless, and contribute nothing to our society other than angina.

I am still waiting for someone to give me at least one reason for any candidate to be elected without using their opponents. What have the other 3 shown us to prove that they may make a good Mayor? We can attack candidates all we want but I still have not seen any of the other three show me something to prove they are the right man for the job.

Click on "on-line lookup". Not sure I'd feel good electing someone with that much on his record. I like businessmen in politics, but I like successful businessmen more. Anyone could print up a pretty vision, give me 5 minutes and I'll bet I could print up a prettier one for you.
"Time for a Change". Even if that change is for the worse? Look at Sauk Village for a mayor that won with a promise of "change". I'll bet those residents would tell you that their town HAS changed in those 4 years... An inexperienced nice guy ran that village into the ground.
By all means, vote for change but ONLY if you are sure that the change would be GOOD. Investigate very carefully because voting for someone just because he or she is "new" doesn't make sense. Find out how much every candidate has contributed to Crete. Why do some people seem to care only at election time but until then have never done one thing to volunteer for the village. Now they want to run it? I've heard that some have never attended a board meeting.
People get educated, I would rather have someone running the town who has not been in court this past year for not knowing how to handle money

you can say what you will, but this mayor has been mayor much too long, new blood is good and they have help with buisness planing, via the city administrator. I dont recall the mayor being a big buisnessman or succesful one, how about the school district? especily the high school, it goes down hill and now people are moving away or putting their kids in private schools andnot a peep ou od einhorn on that subjet. I am sick of him, I say time for chnge no matter who the candidate, hell we gave obama a chance and he isnt part of the fortune 500 group.

your correct in getting educated, so don is in court for letting a property go he probably does not care about, but if you dig hard enough and go back far enough you can find the current mayor in the same place for cheating on his wife. so i ask you who is better or worse? realestate is a gamble today, cheating, being sneaky and a liar says alot about a persons code of ethics.

your correct in getting educated, so class is in. you say don is in court for a foreclosure on a property he probably does not care about nor wants to hold on to. bu if you dig in the same place and go back a while, you wil find the mayor here too. exceptfor cheatingon his wife for three years. so let me ask you, you say don is not going to be a good mayor over a property deal, but does beig a cheating liar and a sneak make you a better cadidate? Alli can say is property is a gamble today, and walking away is sometimes the only choice. But cheating and sneaking is not and is deffinetly a question on einhorn's ethics. class dismissed
