A convicted child killer who prompted outrage when he moved to Derry early this year is back in the state, living now in Manchester.

He is listed in the ct sex offender database as living in a Berlin motel. Not Manchester.

Deport him to Siberia.

There should be a notice sent to the areas where child and sex offenders are currently living and working so us as parents can be aware of. So we can protect our families.

This predator murdered and molested a child and he is out??? Doesn't time served meen payed dues for crime in our Lawmakers eyes???Life(until death) for child molesters; rapists, home invaders= 0 chance for repeat offenses. Law abiding and taxpaying citizens in CT are at risk from our own lawmakers who refuse to step up and keep us safe. Our law makers have 0 accountability when it comes to protecting us. Offenders can sue for cold food served while incarcerated yet victims can't sue when the courts let these animals go and they predictably victimize someone else. How many chilren need to be forcably raped and innocent people victimized in our homes and communities for us to be considered when sentencing violent predatorial offenders?

It is not the news that doesn't have their facts straight. You need to get educated on the games sex offenders play. They register one place and often live elsewhere.People complain about their lack of supervision but the amount of POs compared to the number of "clients" aka offenders is mindblowing. Our prisons are filled to capacity; violent offenders are caught and released; overflow into probation and then into our communities. There are whole towns in CT that are basically free prisons as our jails can't take the numbers. People are truly oblivious to the animals they walk among every day. I used to be blissfully ignorant too.

I'm not condoning any child molester/murderer moving anywhere civilian. However, did he do his time in jail and did he complete all steps necessary in order to do so? If he has then it's our screwed up justice system that allows monsters, like Douglas Simmons, to move next door to us. And it's our responsibility to correct this injustice. Until that happens this man is afforded the luxury to move anywhere he wants and we still get to harrass him, even though we made the laws that set him free?? Either condemn him to jail for life, where he belongs, or let him do his time and have his freedom. That which we've allowed!
