You are correct, it was the Obamacare supporters who were bussed, given tshirts and signs, boxed lunches and paid $15/hr.

The opponents were not astroturfed, but brought out by having been sent an email from the NHTPC.

NO ASTROTURF, NO GOP, NOTHING.

And by the way, insurance companies and big pharma are FOR OBAMACARE. Wonder why?

I am glad that President Obama is pushing to reform healthcare. Our system is broken.
Other industrialized countries laugh at us for having such an inefficient, heartless, and expensive system. Just today, I heard on the news that British people caused twitter to crash when they wrote in to defend their healthcare system against Republican propaganda.
Thank goodness we have representatives who are willing to stand against the healthcare industry and entrenched interests.
That's nuts. WHEN have you ever heard anyone from HERE goes to UK or Canada to get medical treatment? They are all coming HERE.

It is a failure anyplace it's been tried.

Medicare, SS, Amtrak, the PO and Cash for Clunkers all broke... and they want to control my doctor?

NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!

Obama's healthcare will pass and it will help you in spite of yourself.

Fringe? Hardly. The Constitution is not "fringe", but your socialism is.

It is not a good idea to make sweeping generalizations and blanket statements when you have not done the research and have no facts to back up your assertion.

Anyone who has been paying attention would have seen numerous accounts of Americans traveling abroad for healthcare.

A summary of the 2008 report from Deloitte LLP,“Medical Tourism: Emerging Phenomenon in Health Care Industry” says “The impact of dramatically rising U.S. health care costs is prompting increasing numbers of consumers to consider outbound medical tourism as a viable care option. In 2007, an estimated 750,000 Americans traveled abroad for medical care; this number is anticipated to increase to six million by 2010.“

Clearly such large numbers indicate that our health care system simply does not work for millions of people in this country – both those who do not have insurance and those who do.

For example, note the case of Justine Williams in North Andover. Her family is trying to raise $50,000 for a prosthetic leg that would not be covered by insurance.

Exactly what is your evidence that anyone who supports healthcare reform wants government to take over their lives? I challenge you to produce one bit of real evidence - not just these accusations.

Please give us your definition of what a socialist is as well as your evidence for saying that this person is a socialist.

Please tell us exactly how healthcare is going to cause people to die early and often. Give us the exact references to real legislation, not just what you heard from wherever you get your opinions.

Keep in mind, O'Bummer's Team did not allow real native N.H. residents into the meeting and just surrounded himself with Massholes who moved there and are screwing up the state's Live Free or Die pride.

That is simply not true and you must know it.

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Sagittarius

The rumour mill is especially active, and interesting tales are coming at you from all sides. Don't believe everything you hear: there are people who will start gossip to further their own aims and you don't want to help them unwittingly. Similarly, don't reveal too much of yourself to those who you don't know intimately - keep your own counsel.
