Costs too much and the pageants are all fixed. That's what I think. It isn't worth the money.

We thought it was good. 8 per person for all rides is a good deal. Shelby county is the real rip off. 20 to get in and then 18per person to ride rides. Trimble co does need a better track announcer. She sucked and the music was on boarding every time she talked and the trucks goin through. It was awful

Yes! I agree to all the above , it's funny that I saw the " judges " speaking to the winners of the cutie pie contest before the contest and no I did not have a child in the contest nor was a relative . I just think it's unfair and also some of the cutie pie contestants looked a little older than 4 just saying....

I know for a fact that the little girl that won the 4 year old Cutie Pie contest was not even from Trimble County! She was invited to be in the pageant and was from Louisville! She looked like she was 6 six years old!!!!! I'm sure we are talking about the same one! It is sad!

Everyone knows the pageants are fixed.
Don't you remember the brooklyn duke stuff?
Her mom bribed the judges then that night the judges felt guilty and admitted it!

just wondering. New to the area and son went to BES. So has the fair made changes to their pageants because of what Mrs Duke did or is it the same with judging?

Oh ok. And I don't know, they probably have. I'm just thankful for whoever the judge was that was good enough to admit their mistake of being bribed and showed how dukes are.

They are all fixed. Kierstin Ginn as Miss Trimble.. When her whole family runs the pageant. She has won every single one she has been in. And supposively Mrs Debbie Perry stepped down from coordinating the pageant but she was still in the back the entire time dealing with everything she usually does. Hah. Never do those pageants. Seriously.

Debbie Perry did not allow my 5 year old daughter to be in the Little Miss pageant tonight! Thanks to Tammy Ginn who told me tonight that she didn't receive my daughters application and that it probably was sitting in her mail box because she hadn't checked it in several days! This all would've been taken care of if Mrs Ginn had called me back the numerous times I had left her messages to do so on her answering machine. This was my daughters first year in the Little Miss and when I never got a return call from Mrs Ginn, I found out all the specifics from another lady who had a child in the pageant. I just assumed everything was hunky dory until I get up there tonight and was told by Debbie Perry that they did not have my money and therefore my daughter could not be in the pageant. I showed Mrs Ginn the carbon copy of my check where I had written it. She took me inside the building and was getting me a paper to fill out about my daughter when Debbie says no! I tried to explain that I made several calls trying to find out but she didn't care! She then had the nerve to tell me that my daughter could be in it, but she couldn't place! She told me that in order for her to be in the pageant she had to of been at the practice last Friday and that was one of the rules listed on the application form. Well I looked online at the application and no where on there said that it was mandatory! My baby is so upset, her heart is broken! These ladies are in the wrong and I am very disappointed in the way it was handled. Just wanted to put my 2cents in!

Sounds like you tried to do everything right. I am very sorry for your litle girl. i don't see what the big deal was to just let her get onstage with the other little girls , feel pretty, and special with the other's. Any time money, or rules are placed above a little girl's heart, then it should be stopped immediately ! Shame on the adults for doing this. Then to be told she can't place because of it...well that just tells the truth doesn't it. Hope your little girl (and all other's ) gets treated differently next year.
Me too

Maybe you should get both sides of the story before you agree one way or the other.
