Putnam school budgets: staff cuts, modest tax increases expected

There is a real probability of at least 25 teachers will be laid off in Mahopac to meet the next budget. This will be after cutting 14 "non-clerical positions". There is no mention of laying off any of the "non-teaching" positions (i.e. assistant principals or other administration personnel).
