they will find that speed and aggressive morning commute driving was a factor - that is why the Highway Patrol was needed back in Cuyahoga County - it is time once again to put politics aside and save some lives!

I drive this road everyday, and it is amazing how many aggressive drivers there are. People go flying down the road, weaving in and out of traffic. It is very dangerous. It is sad about this motorist losing her life though.

...or talking on the cell phone, texting on the cell phone, putting on makeup, elderly driver, drunk driver, wasn't wearing a seatbelt, dumped a hot coffee in her lap, mechanical problem, health problem, heard the Y bridge was gonna be fenced, heard about the problems at the bow wow pond or MAYBE, surprise surprise, just an accident!

Cops sitting in the median running radar is NOT the answer to anything but solving local government financial problems.

An accident caused by who knows what at this time is not a call to arms to bring on more police.

I agree, as a daily Akron to Cleveland commuter I can say that all additional police presence would do is back up traffic even more than it already is. This accident was a terrible thing, but an accident is just that...an accident

When people see a police car they just slow down immediately to 10 MPH below the posted limit. This causes more near accidents and back-ups and then 2 miles later everyone is speeding again.

A novel idea....

Instead of having Johnny Donut sitting on the side of the road looking at Playboy and eating Zingers hitting people up with the Radar (which has been recognized as being a contributor to Testicular Cancer....ouch! look out troopers!) What about this...

(this is an actual law in Germany for the autobahn)
Drivers must remain in the RIGHT LANE while traveling. The left lane(s) are meant for passing only. IF YOU ARE NOT PASSING SOMEONE and the police see you, you get a ticket.

What does this solve? You keep those who chose to drive 55 in the passing lane from holding up traffic. You keep the insane people who like to drive 80 out of the right hand lanes (while passing people on the right is not illegal on a 3 lane highway, it can be dangerous).

Now I am sure some of you will be screaming about how there is no state law telling you to do this or that, but for once in your life try doing the "common sense" thing. You are aware of what common sense is, right?

Last time there was a highway discussion all I can recall is most people saying "i can drive where ever the heck i want too" and "gas is expensive, so slow down". Once again, Common Sense? HELLO? ARE YOU THERE? Drive slow if you want, just don't do it in the center or left lanes.

ALSO....NO SEMI TRUCKS IN LEFT LANES AT ALL. Trucks should be limited to the right lane on all highways.

What ever happened to the Train running from Canton to Cleveland? That would be nice.

failure to allow a safe driving distance in front of the car ahead.i'm surprised a person a day is not killed on interstates around cleveland /akron everyday. people drive like out of control idiots up there, i used to drive to cleveland every day years ago . i gave up on the freeway and went through the cuyahoga valley park and it only costed me 15 min of my time and much more pleasant than being surrounded by yuppies that think the highway is a race track. i never could undestand why someone thinks they can drive 70 or 80 mph when there is bumper to bumper traffic moving 55-60 mph. simple : ignorance and selfishness. get up earlier and leve earlier
