When my son was 8 months old he broke out in a rash. I took him to Khiami who told me that it was a virus and prescribed penicillin even after I told him that I thought he was having an allergic reaction to something. After a few days of the penicillin he was even worse. Turned out he is allergic to penicillin, I was taking antibiotics and nursing him which caused his initial reaction.
When he was born the doctor at the hospital would not circumsize him and told us that he needed to see a urologist. Khiami never mentioned a urologist and every time I asked him about having the procedure done he said my son didn't need it.
After finding Beckley Pediatrics, we found out my son had a very mild case of hypospadius and needed a surgery to correct it at the age of 3. Thankfully he is fine now, but it still pees me off that Khiami just didn't want to listen to me. I really like Beckley Pediatrics and they have always listened to me and been kind to me and my kids.
I guess there is no best pediatrician, it just depends on your personality and parenting style and what you want in a doctor.

Just out of curiosity, was the Dr. Rosas that didn't want to circumsize your son? I know back in 96 when I had my son, he refused to circumsize him.

When my son was a few weeks old he starting getting dehydrated .. this was a thursday night and I had been taking him to Dr johnson. He was vomiting and had diarreha. I called Dr johnson and asked what I should do. It was around 9 pm at night and i was crying. I was only 18 years old at the time and I was worried sick and i didnt know what to do. I called him & asked if he thought I needed to take him to the hospital. After a few minutes of talking I was still crying and his words were "If you're just going to call and interrupt my family time so that I can listen to you cry you dont need to call" he then told me to bring the baby in on MONDAY! MONDAY!!!.. The very next say I called Dr khiami, He stayed an extra 45 minutes just to see us. Turns out my son was ALLERGIC to the formula he was on and COULD've DIED! THANK GOD FOR DR KHIAMI! I wont ever see another doctor. And Dr johnson is on the BOTTOM of my list.
That was pathetic what he told you. That peeves me off!

After a HORRIBLE experience with Lucero, we switched to Andrea Mclintic (sp) on Harper Rd. We love her and she has been great with my daughter. Also the ENT specialists of Mt. State are great for ENT problems

my son went to khiami for 4 yrs.no major issues.there are certain meds that dont work for my son,but everytime we go in he insists on giving them. its always the same argument. it seems like hes gotten into a routine of writing the same rx...have been having some issues w/him for a little over a month. very sick kid....paged khiami multiplt times, he never returned my calls....some ppl in his office staff tend 2 be rude as well. rgh er ended up "treating" my son since khiami was nowhere to be found on a monday during business hours......i switched pediatricians.

Dr. Lucero is a quack. I had a cancerous tumor growing on my spine when I was 9 yrs old. Agonizing pain, loss of bladder control, and he says it was all in my head because I was adopted. 3 yrs later, It's found by another dr. who immediatley knew there was a tumor there just by my symptoms. Thanks to dr. lucero the tumor had grown to the size of a tennis ball, I had to have back surgery to remove it, chemotherapy AND radiation. All because, "it was in my head".
Take your children somewhere else. If there is something wrong with them, it will not be found by this man.
When my daughter was born we took her to Lucero. Once when she had some breathing problems he called back after calling his number and his solution was pedialite on a set schedule. and another time a completely different set of symptoms and he told us the same exact thing. What a jerk.

Dr.solari ! Him & hiss staff are so nice & caring with every visit. Never have to wait long & in emergencies they get you in right then or the nurse will call right back. They always seem concerned over my son when something would happen. I suggest him to anyone.

Dr McClintic is amazing. Both of our kids see her. Solari is an ass. Our daughter was running a very high fever and when I called his office and told them I was on the way I was told that he didn't have time to see her. Later found out from a family friend that worked there that he wanted to play golf that day. When I told the nurse how high her temp was I was told " oh well I guess you can go to the er because we can't do anything for you today." Staton is ok but we think the world of McClintic
